For some the future is exciting, filled with new technologies and new opportunities but for others, the future doesn’t seem that bright. So, we want to raise some concerns for you guys. A study done at Oxford University found out that 45% of current jobs will disappear in the next 10 years! With some of them being completely automated or at least upgraded to a point where only a fraction of the workforce is needed. So, this will greatly impact how you plan as the environment is changing.
A couple of prime example are:
CMS (Content Management System) on WordPress and how it killed thousands of jobs for website developers by simple drag and drop with no technical skills required.
It’s hard to imagine in this connected world through cell phones that there were people know as ‘Switchboard operators’ who physically connected every single phone call by moving individual wires.
Bank tellers lost their jobs due to ATMs in place, but banks invested the money saved to open new branches. Which in other words created more jobs.
Almost all factory jobs are being replaced by technology and automation. Packaging too.
But anyways, the list can go on and on… History can either make you or break you. If we are not prepared for the future, it may take you by a surprise. So here are 15 Jobs that will disappear in the next 20 years due to automation & artificial intelligence.
