You won’t even require a dipping sauce for this dish, as the marinade of this recipe makes the shrimp awesomelicious and flavourful. People who are not so fond of shellfish would really dive into the plate for this appetizer.

Prep time – 15 min. + marinating Broil: 10 min..

Makes – 30 servings


1 tablespoon olive oil

1-1/2 teaspoons brown sugar

1-1/2 teaspoons lemon juice

1 garlic clove, thinly sliced

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon dried basil

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 pound uncooked large shrimp, peeled and deveined


Step 1: Combine the 1st eight ingredients with shrimp in a large zip bag.

Step 2: Turn and toss the zip bag to let the ingredients coat nicely on the shrimp and put the bag in a refrigerator for 2 hours

Step 3: Drain shrimp and discard the marinade.

Step 4: Place shrimp on a baking sheet, which is not greased.

Step 5: Let it broil for 3-4 minutes until the shrimp turns pink on each side and serve.

Packed with the warm flavours of white wine, goat cheese and fresh spinach, this creamy shrimp recipe is an impressive and comforting Italian meal, perfect for the party mood.

Prep time – 15 min. Cook – 35 min.

Makes – 4 servings


4 cups reduced-sodium chicken broth

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 cup uncooked arborio rice

1 fresh thyme sprig

1 bay leaf

1/4 teaspoon pepper

3/4 cup white wine or additional reduced-sodium chicken broth

1 pound uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 cups chopped fresh spinach

4 ounces fresh goat cheese, crumbled


Step 1: Take a small saucepan, heat the broth and keep it warm. Add oil to a large nonstick skillet and saute the onion until tender. Add the rice, thyme, bay leaf and pepper; cook and stir for 2-3 minutes. Reduce heat; stir in wine. Cook and stir until all the liquid is absorbed.

Step 2: Add the warm broth to this, 1/2 cup at a time while stirring constantly. Allow the liquid to absorb between additions. Cook just until risotto is creamy and rice is almost tender. (Cooking time is about 20 minutes.) Add the shrimp and spinach; cook until shrimp turn pink and spinach is soft.

Step 3: Stir in cheese. Discard thyme and bay leaf. Serve immediately. Serves 4 people.

1 pound peeled and deveined cooked shrimp, chopped

1 can (6 ounces) lump crabmeat, drained

2 celery ribs, finely chopped

1/4 cup Dijon-mayonnaise blend

24 Belgian endive leaves (3-4 heads) or small butterhead lettuce leaves


Step 1: Take a large bowl and combine crab, shrimp and celery in it.

Step 2: Now add mayonnaise blend and toss to coat the layer of mayonnaise on the mixture.

Step 3: Garnish it with 2 tablespoons with shrimp mixture.
