1. Epsom salt face mask
1 cup water
1 green tea bag
1 Tbs. epsom salt
3 Tbs. bentonite clay
Heat a cup of water in a mug/cup. Place one tea bag in the cup to steep for a few minutes. Once steeped, remove 2 Tbs of the tea and place into a bowl. You may drink the remaining tea. In the bowl with the 2 Tbs of tea, stir in 1 Tbs of epsom salt. Stir till the epsom salt is dissolved. Now mix in 3 Tbs Bentonite clay and stir well. It is best to avoid metal with Bentonite clay so choose a wooden or plastic spoon to mix the face mask.
Once you have mixed the face mask, apply to a clean face. Allow to dry. Once the mask has dried, you can remove it by washing with warm water using a wet washcloth to help remove the dried clay.
2. 3 ingredient blackheads removing mask
1 teaspoon bentonite clay
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon of activated charcoal
3 teaspoons equals 1 Tablespoon. This is the perfect amount for one face. Use a wooden spoon for your clay or it will deactivate! Stir together, and add several drops of water to create a paste. Apply to a dry face. Let the mask dry/harden, and keep it on for 15 minutes. You can keep it on longer, but I have relatively sensitive skin. Wash off with water and pat dry. Your face will be pink; because, the clay increases blood flow.
3. Vitamin e face mask
1 tbsp bentonite clay
1 tbsp raw organic apple cider vinegar
1 tsp Vitamin E oil
5 drops Tea tree Oil
Mix together in a bowl and apply to face and neck. Let dry 30 – 45 minutes and rinse with warm water.
4. Pore minimizing face mask
1/2 tsp matcha green tea powder
1/2 tsp bentonite clay powder
2 activated charcoal capsules, opened and emptied
2 tsp filtered water
In a small bowl combine matcha, clay, and charcoal. Slowly add water and stir to create a paste. Clean your face and leave it slightly damp. Spread mask all over your face avoiding contact with eyes. Keep on face for 15 minutes. Mask will dry and harden. Wash face removing the mask with a damp washcloth. Moisturize as needed.
5. Acne face mask
1 tbsp activated charcoal
1 tbsp bentonite clay (we like Azetc Indian Healing Clay brand)
a few drops of tea tree oil
1/4 cup water
To a bowl, add your activated charcoal and bentonite clay. Heat up 1/4 cup of water and slowly pour the warm water over the charcoal and clay. Stir slowly using a wooden spoon. If you use a metal spoon you will deactivate the active ingredients in the bentonite clay. Now add in your tea tree oil and stir. The consistency should be that of a thick cream. Apply all over your face and neck and leave on for 15-20 minutes or until the mask has dried on. Remove using a soft, wet washcloth. Rinse off any residue and follow up with a moisturizer.
