NAVI MUMBAI: A number of sketchers and artists came together on Sunday to paint on a 45feetx5feet canvas their memorable experiences in Mumbai.
This was part of the two-day sketchfest being held in Urban Haat. The event is being organized by Cidco along with a group of youngsters who call themselves Urban sketchers of Navi Mumbai (USNM). “We are a group with a common passion for sketching and water painting. Every Sunday, we gather at some place in the city for group sketching. It’s fun, a great learning and skill development process,” said Yatish Chavan , a member.
The participants also enjoyed sketchwalk in which they gathered near Agroli pond and captured the morning view in their canvas. Urban sketcher Sanjeev Joshi from Pune conducted the sketch talk.
Several artists, including Vikrant Shitole and Amol Pawar, conducted workshops. A talks on urban sketching was presented by Maupriyam Seth and Hari Mohan Pillai.
