  • Louis Vuitton wants to invest in Ramdev Baba’s Patanjali and take it global

Louis Vuitton is the French conglomerate that holds the stake in some of the world’s most desired luxury brands. Louis Vuitton Malletier is commonly referred to as Louis Vuitton.

“We would love to work with him if we can find a model,” said Ravi Thakran, managing partner, L Catterton Asia. However, “I know his model is not to work with multinationals and with foreign money.”

The deal may not go through as Ramdev has positioned his products and the company, through advertisements, as being anti-multinational. We all know that Patanjali is emerging as India’s fastest growing FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) and thus French luxury corporation wants a piece of desi business.

Getting into Ayurveda — perhaps an emerging international fashion trend alongside yoga and khadi certainly makes sense for the fund co-owned by LVMH that is looking to invest $500 million in India.

French luxury brand Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (LVMH) is very keen to work with Indian yoga guru Ramdev and buy a stake in his Patanjali Ayurved, The Economic Times reported.

The report of Economic Times also stated that L Catterton private equity fund co-owned by LVMH is willing to invest $500 million, which is nearly half of its remaining Asia fund.

BalKrishna said his company was “not averse to receiving funds from a multinational company like LV, but it should be in the form of a loan and not investment.” He said the company will not dilute its equity or shares.

“Patanjali prides itself in being a swadeshi brand. While we will not refuse if any foreign company wants to give us funds, we would like to make it clear that the money would be paid back and will be treated as a loan. We are not willing to sell stakes to any outside company,” said Balkrishna. “In our country, much talk is going on regarding allowing of foreign direct investment (FDI). The case with Patanjali is different,” he added.

Patanjali is planning to add new product segments as the brand is growing tremendously. Will they accept the offer of working with Louis Vuitton?

  • Link Mobile Number (SIM) With Aadhaar Card From Home

Have you linked your Aadhaar card no with your mobile SIM? If not, here is a good news for you. Now no more visits to the galleries for linking your Aadhaar with SIM. Telecom operators have now made it easy by offering a toll-free service, 14546, for re-verification of your Aadhaar number on your mobile SIM through IVRS i.e. Interactive Voice Response System.

It has become very easy and convenient for mobile phone users. They can just dial 14546 and link their Aadhaar number with the help of IVRS OTP (One-Time Pin) verification. The UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) issuer of the 12-digit Aadhaar number will be given directives for generating OTP, either through the service provider’s website or through Interactive Voice Response (IVR) service. This will simplify the process of linking Aadhar with the mobile phone number, said the government on microblogging site Twitter.

The Government declared 3 options of Aadhaar linking on October 2017 and IVRS is one of them. The Department of Telecommunication provided 3 methods for Aadhaar Linking viz. OTP-based, mobile app based, and IVRS. These new methods will make the work easy for the subscribers to get their mobile number linked with Aadhaar card without visiting the stores of telecoms.

Here’s how the IVRS-based Aadhaar authentication through helpline 14546 works:
    1. Call the toll-free helpline number 14546, select the option whether you are NRI or Indian

    2. The caller is to provide response 1 in case of an Indian citizen.

    3. Enter the 12-digit Aadhaar number.

    4. Confirm the number by pressing response 1.

    5. You will receive an OTP or One-Time PIN to your registered mobile number.

    6. The IVR system asks the caller to give consent to the telecom operator to pick his or her name, photo, and date of
    birth from the UIDAI database.

    7. Then the caller has to enter the OTP in the next step.

    8. To complete the re-verification process, the caller is asked to press 1.

    9. NRIs/OCIs are not eligible to enroll for Aadhaar and hence fully exempted from any Aadhaar verification of bank accounts/mobile SIM or other services, the UIDAI has said.

  • Jaden Smith wants to be in a Bollywood movie

So, it’s not just Hugh Jackman who wants to work in a Bollywood movie. It’s also a 19-year-old actor, singer and rapper Jaden Smith- son of Hollywood actor Will Smith. On Tuesday, Jaden posted a tweet – I Wanna Be In A Bollywood Movie and tweeterati went crazy with hysterically funny replies to his tweets. No matter whether our directors and producers of Bollywood has taken a note of it or not, but tweeterati have actively participated by suggesting him a list of movies he could have possibly starred in. The replies started flooding with witty memes and GIFs which will make you laugh a lot.

The tweets reached a crazy level just like they did with the memes of Priyanka Chopra’s outfit at the Met Gala 2017. Starting from the movie Ek Tha Tiger to Om Shanti Om, Twitter photoshopped Jaden Smith in various Bollywood film posters. Also don’t forget to see the last tweeter’s reaction of the movie Dangal.

Have a look at the Jaden’s tweet and tweeters reactions on the same.

Fans of Jaden Smith encouraged him by saying they would love to see him in the Bollywood movie.

Could Jaden create a space in Bollywood? Will producers and directors consider his thoughts? Could James get a chance to connect with our Bollywood stars like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan, etc?

Jaden worked with his father Will Smith in his first movie The Pursuit of Happyness. He worked with Jackie Chan in The Karate Kid where he played the leading role.

Apart from his acting and rapping, he also has his own clothing brand called MSFTSrep. He has also partnered with a spring water company Just Water.

  • 8 highest earning Bollywood films of 2017

Are you the kind who claims to be a die-hard Bollywood lover? Do you watch any random feature as long as it tickles your funny bones? High-five! Of course, some come with meaningful storylines and some, just a few lengthy hours of pure entertainment (which people might call as good as shit). But at the end of the year, they just make their way to our minds.
Here clubbed together is a bunch of ten best movies of 2017:

    1. Bahubali: The Conclusion: This motion picture reeled on a budget of Rs. 250 crore, racked up 1.706.5 crore and turned out to be the second highest-grossing Indian movie of all the time. Needless to say, a succession to Amir Khan’s Dangal! It starred Prabhas, Rana Daggubatti, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan and Tamannah Bhatia

    2. Golmaal Again: Fourth in Golmaal series, Golmaal again was again as amusing as the preceding ones. Centred around the faces, Ajay Devgn, Parineeti Chopra, Tabu, Arshad Warsi, Tushar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Khemu, and Neil Nitin Mukesh, Golmaal Again was made on a budget of Rs.95 crore and amassed Rs. 302 crore worldwide.

    3. Raees: With an impressive collection of Rs.275 crore, the not-so-wow factor of Raees was greatly appreciated massively by hordes of Khan’s fans. Featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Mahira Khan, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Atul Kulkarni along with SRK, the 100-crore-budgeted Raees fared extremely well, riding on Srk’s fandom.

    4. Toilet: Ek Prem Katha: Directed on a budget of Rs 40 crore, Akshay Kumar’s Toilet minted fortunes as ginormous as 200 crore. The movie was an eye-opener in a way that how a woman puts her marriage on stake, only because she was refused an in-house toilet by her in-laws.

    5. Jolly LLB 2: Much like its previous sequel, Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 did manage to give us a few moments of laughter along with emotional feats in between. Made on a mere budget of 35 crore, accumulating 182 crore in theatres was an unexpected pay-off.

    6. Tubelight: Bhai, aka, Salman Khan, lent the movie an extra glam, more than it was meant to paint on silver screen. Bhai factor, after all, does its magic. An investment of 100 crore was rewarded a stunning return of 214 crore. The movie focused around Sohail Khan, Om Puri, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Matin Rey Tangu and Chinese actress Zhu Zhu, along with Salman Khan.

    7. Judwaa 2: Filmed on a budget of 75 crore, the movie raised 205.5 crore worldwide. Resembling the original Judwaa, this piece of so-called story too was packed with lots of fun. The movie had Varun Dhawan, Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueiline Fernandez in spotlight.

    8. Badrinath Ki Dulhania: UP ‘tadka’ of Bardrinath Ki Dulhania was pulled up amazingly by Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, causing it to make 116.60 crore on a budget size of 35 crore only. Spruced up with finest of UP ‘ishtyle’ punches, the movie kept the viewers entertained throughout.

Have you watched these? If no, you are so not Bollywood freak. Anyway, its never too late. Get over with this old list before the new year sets about.

  • Gujarat Election Results 2017: BJP is heading with maximum seats

Ask anyone in India about the current trending topic and the answer will be Gujarat Elections! And the one who is marching ahead is BJP. So, in Gujarat, BJP has won 99 seats, Congress with 77 seats, and others with 5 seats. The results of remaining teams will be declared simultaneously. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his wish to tweet on the election results.

Modi said in the tweet, “Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh show strong support to the politics of good governance and development with the outcome of elections. I salute the BJP workers who work hard in these states. “In the next tweet, the PM said,” I salute the people of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh for believing in BJP. I assure them that we will not keep any progress in the development of these states and in the service of the people.

The counting of votes is happening at 37 centres across the state’s 33 districts, amidst tight security. Exit Polls lately displayed that ruling BJP will win the Himalayan state with remarkable margin and retain its power in Prime Minister Modi’s home state.

According to trends so far, the BJP seems to be successful in forming its government in Gujarat.
The BJP’s lead in Gujarat is sweeping 99 seats and Congress is leading in 77 seats.

Clearly, BJP president Amit Shah’s claim that the party will win 150 seats has not materialised. In that sense, Congress president Rahul Gandhi, along with his regional allies Hardik Patel, Alpesh Thakor and Jignesh Mevani, has shown the BJP that this is a new Congress and it will play the role of a spirited Opposition. As the winter session of Parliament begins today, fireworks will be expected.

All are excited about the Gujarat results as the saffron party has been ruling the state for 20 years and the prime minister comes from here and if anything goes against the BJP then it will be a setback ahead of 2019 general election.

  • Man slaps a traffic constable over parking row

Navi Mumbai: A 21-year-old man was arrested by the Kopar Khairne police for allegedly assaulting an on-duty traffic constable on Monday. According to the information provided by the police, Danish Shaikh, a resident of sector 19 parked his two-wheeler on the road and he was talking to one of his friend who stays in the nearby sector.

Tanaji Patil, the traffic constable reached the place and asked Shaikh to move away his vehicle from the road as it was a hindrance for other vehicles to pass through the path.

After giving the instruction, Shaikh refused to move his vehicle which was parked on the road and the two got into an argument. Patil claimed when he asked Sheikh to move the vehicle which was parked on the road to allow traffic to flow smoothly but Sheikh became aggressive and got into an argument. He refused to move his vehicle and allegedly slapped the 45-year-old traffic constable.

In a video shot by a bystander, Sheikh is seen slapping Patil after which others intervened. He was arrested after Patil filed an FIR under Sections 353 (assault or criminal force to deter a public servant from discharging duty), 332 (voluntarily causing hurt to deter a public servant from discharge of his duty) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) of IPC on Tuesday and is currently in police custody.

“It is a crime to assault a policeman in uniform. If the video shows the constable abusing Shaikh, he should have complained to the traffic police, instead of slapping him. If the constable had used abusive words, then we would have initiated a departmental inquiry,” said DCP (traffic) Nitin Patil.
