The civic library at Belapur is set to be transformed into a hi-tech study hall by the civic engineering department. This development of the library will be beneficial for those students, who are preparing for competitive examinations.
With an estimated budget of around Rs 90 lakh, the library turned civic hall at Belapur will feature several reference books and other study materials, which is required for the students.
According to the city engineer Mohan Dagaonkar, “The work for developing the infrastructure has begun. Tenders have been floated for the work.”
“The first floor of the library is to developed into a study hall. The unique aspect of the centre will be the independent study space.
“The civic administration intends to encourage youngsters to take up preparing for competitive examinations and the study hall is a step in that direction,” he added.
As per the plans of the civic administration, it will also offer amenities, including projectors in the room. In addition, guest lectures will also be conducted by personnel.
