Four Held by Cops for Operating Prostitution Racket in Navi Mumbai

Four people have been arrested for running a prostitution racket Navi Mumbai.

Four accused have been arrested by Navi Mumbai police with regards to the prostitution racket that was run by them through a website.




In their official statement given to the media, the Navi Mumbai police said that the main accused operated the racket through an online website called Navi Mumbai Escort Services. They stated that the deal was made by sharing contact details with the potential customers.

Police have held four in their custody after a decoy, where they posed as a client. They were told to meet one of the four accused near a college premises, police stated. The police elaborated that they moved in as the deal was being concluded. They also disclosed the names of all the accused as, Ritesh Paswan, 21, Durgeshkumar Chowdhary, 21, Aniket Pandey, 20, and, Anilkumar Shah, 23, all are the residents of Shiravane village situated in Navi Mumbai.




The police stated that all the 4 accused have been booked under sections 370(1)(3), read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code, along with section 4 and 5 of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act at the Nerul Policer station.
