It’s quite flattering for Navi Mumbai, to be a source of inspiration for another budding township. Palghar is soon going to have on its soil a new township. This township is going to be made while getting inspiration from Navi Mumbai.
The development project is going to use Mumbai Metropolitan Region’s vast area as its foundation. The Devendra Fadnavis government has allotted 440.37 hectares to CIDCO to develop this project in the district. The township is going to be developed close to the upcoming third port of Maharashtra within the span of 10-15 years.
The project in total costs Rs.3,800 crore. The first phase of the project that is worth Rs.836 will involve the district headquarters, collector office, police headquarters, court, VIP guest houses and even infrastructure like infra like roads, sewerage, open spaces.
This upcoming town will be close to the upcoming Vadhavan court in Dahanu, one of the many talukas and just about 15-20 km away from the district headquarter and township project in Palghar taluka.
One of the main goals of CIDCo to build this township is to build households that are very economical which can be afforded by people with low income. CIDCO will also help recover money from previous land deals.
