Trains between CSMT and Panvel are to get faster

Now commuters of the harbor line from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) to Panvel can reach their destination quicker. The trains between both the stations are going get 15 mins faster. The CR will soon increase the speed of local trains between Mankhurd and Panvel to 105kmph from the current speed of 80kmph.

It takes nearly an hour and a half to reach CSMT from Panvel. SK Jain, divisional railway manager, CR said, “The proposal to increase the speed of the train has been sent to the headquarters.
