Tenant Information
Navi Mumbai Police provides an online form for submitting tenant details, described on the official site as a way to record tenant information for security purposes.
Official entry point: Navi Mumbai Police Tenant Information. The first screen includes fields for the owner’s full name, contact number, email address, address, city, state and PIN code. The address field was labelled optional when checked. Later form stages and the submission acknowledgement were not tested for this guide.
This is an information-submission system, not a confirmed formal “No Objection Certificate.” If your landlord, society, or another party has asked for a specific document, check with them exactly what they require before assuming this form produces it. If you need proof of submission, confirm what acknowledgement the service provides before relying on it for another organisation’s requirement.

Navi Mumbai Police jurisdiction differs from municipal boundaries. Its organisational structure includes police stations serving locations such as Kharghar, Kamothe, Kalamboli, Panvel and Taloja. Check which police station covers the property’s exact address, and confirm whether the online Tenant Information service accepts submissions for that address.
Police Clearance Certificate (PCC): Two Different Channels
Maharashtra Police Clearance Services and Passport Seva provide separate application channels. Do not assume that a certificate obtained through one will meet a requirement specifying the other. Before applying or paying, ask the requesting organisation which issuing authority and certificate it accepts.
Channel 1: Maharashtra Police Clearance Services
Official entry point: Maharashtra Police Clearance Services, linked directly from Navi Mumbai Police’s own website. Its published process: Registration, Login, Fill Application, Pay Fees, Verification by local Police station, and Verification by CFC (Citizen Facilitation Centre).
The portal’s homepage doesn’t state which purposes it’s intended for. Don’t assume this applies to your situation without checking the portal’s own instructions.
Channel 2: Police Clearance Certificate via Passport Seva
Passport Seva provides a dedicated PCC application, separate from an application for passport issuance or reissue. Its official instructions describe completing and submitting the PCC application to obtain an Application Reference Number, then following the payment and appointment-booking instructions. Check the current document requirements before booking.
Police Verification for Passport Applications
Police verification associated with passport issuance is distinct from a separate PCC application. Depending on the application, verification may take place before issue, after issue, or may not be required. See Passport Seva’s verification-mode guidance for your case. A separate verification service category for domestic help exists on Navi Mumbai Police’s official domain. We haven’t independently confirmed the current public application route for this service, so we’re not describing steps for it here. Check the official police website’s Contact Us or jurisdiction map directly rather than relying on unverified steps.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a police NOC required for every rent agreement in Navi Mumbai?
This guide has not established a universal police NOC requirement for every rent agreement. Check current directions from the police station responsible for the property, and distinguish tenant-information submission from agreement registration and obtaining a clearance certificate.
Can I use the Maharashtra PCS portal and the Passport Seva PCC application interchangeably?
Do not assume they are interchangeable. Confirm which issuing authority and certificate the requesting organisation accepts, then follow that channel’s official instructions.
Does every passport application require police verification?
No. Passport Seva applies Pre, Post, or No police-verification modes depending on the applicant and documents submitted. Check your own application’s mode rather than assuming verification always happens.
If my address is in Kharghar or another Panvel-area location, does Navi Mumbai Police still cover me?
Navi Mumbai Police’s organisational structure includes police stations serving Kharghar, Kamothe, Kalamboli and Taloja, so municipal jurisdiction (NMMC vs. Panvel Municipal Corporation) is not the same question as police jurisdiction. Confirm which police station covers the property’s exact address if you’re unsure.
