Hourly booking, club access and coaching

Arrangement How it works Good for Confirm before paying
Hourly court booking You pick a venue, date and slot on a booking page and pay for that session Friends who already play and want a game Session length, final price, shuttle and racket rules and cancellation terms
Club facility Courts are used under the club’s membership and access rules People who want to play regularly in one place Whether non-members or guests can play, the joining conditions and any waiting list
Coaching academy Fixed batches with a coach, charged by the month Children and beginners who want training Batch timings, fees, trial sessions and whether casual play is allowed

A court can be open and still be fully booked for coaching or other bookings, so opening hours and available slots are different things. Check availability for your date.

Venue details

Agnel Badminton Academy, Vashi

The academy is on the 7th floor of the Annexure Building, Agnel Technical Education Complex, Juhu Nagar, Sector 9A, Vashi. It offers online booking through Hudle. The listing displays 600 rupees onwards; select a facility, date and slot to check the session duration, the final price and the booking conditions. Check Agnel slots on Hudle. A directory listing on LyfSkills gives hours of 6 am to 11 pm daily and describes four courts with Pulastic flooring. Those are directory-published hours, not confirmed operating hours, so check available slots and current access arrangements before you travel. The phone number on that directory is masked.

Confirm before paying: the session duration, the final amount, the cancellation and refund terms, and whether you must bring shuttles.

Navi Mumbai Sports Association, Vashi

The Navi Mumbai Sports Association is at Sector 1A, Vashi. Its badminton page lists four indoor courts with a Yonex synthetic mat on wooden flooring, and a coaching section naming Yogesh Patil (YPBA) and coaches from Navodaya Badminton Academy. That shows who coaches at the association. It does not say who owns or runs each academy. The association’s main numbers are 022 69669901 and 022 696699 99, 98 or 97, and its email is nmsavashi@gmail.com. Its site links a membership page, and its booking link on the home page is for turf and pickleball, so it does not show a badminton court booking route.

Confirm before paying: whether non-members or guests can play, the membership terms, the court timings and whether coaching takes the courts at certain hours.

Airoli Sports Association, Airoli

The Airoli Sports Association is at 107, Sector 8A, Airoli, and lists international style squash, badminton and table tennis courts. Its site mentions life membership and an EMI scheme, and shows training as coming soon. It does not state the number of courts, timings, booking or fees. Phone: 7738060603 or 022-45154107. It is a separate facility from other Airoli listings.

Confirm before paying: the number of badminton courts, whether non-members can play, court charges and current hours.

Ramsheth Thakur International Sports Complex, Ulwe

The RTISC website lists four indoor badminton courts, described as wooden, in its Ulwe complex, with a members’ login and a membership page. It gives phone 7506799357 and WhatsApp 8286626571. Another operator’s page refers to five courts, so confirm the current number. Booking, fees and timings for badminton are not stated. See also our turf and sports grounds guide.

Confirm before paying: the court count, membership and non-member access, coaching, and how bookings are made.

Other names in directories

The LyfSkills Vashi directory and similar listings also mention a Dharmaveer Anand Dighe Badminton Court in Airoli (E-1, Jetha Bana Kothakar Road, CIDCO Colony, Sector 3), Nirvana Badminton Academy in Nerul and Seawoods Shuttlers Badminton Academy in Seawoods. The listings link to no operator website or booking route and do not say whether casual court hire is available, so treat these as leads to check by phone and not as confirmed options. The Dharmaveer Anand Dighe court is a different facility from the Airoli Sports Association.

Prices and the final cost

  • Hudle shows “onwards” prices of 175 to 600 rupees across the venues above, without saying whether they are per hour, per court or per player. Select a slot to see the final price.
  • Ask whether recurring bookings are available and compare their total cost with booking session by session.
  • Ask what is included: shuttles, racket hire, lights and locker use.
  • Club facilities usually need membership. Ask for the full cost of joining and of playing.

Court and equipment checklist

  • Flooring. Ask what the floor is, what is under it, how the grip feels and how it is maintained. A label such as synthetic or wooden does not tell you how the court plays.
  • Footwear. Ask whether non-marking shoes are required.
  • Space and height. Check the clear room behind the baseline and a ceiling high enough for clears.
  • Lighting and glare. Lights should not sit directly over the shuttle path.
  • Air movement. Fans affect shuttle flight, so ask whether they are switched off during play.
  • Facilities. Ask about changing rooms, drinking water, parking and bag storage.

Questions to ask before you book

  • Is the price per hour, per court or per player, and how long is a session?
  • How many players can use a court in one slot?
  • Who supplies shuttles, and what do they cost? Is racket hire available?
  • Can I pay for a single session, or only for a monthly pass?
  • What is the rule if I cancel, and what happens if the venue closes or cancels my slot?
  • Do you allow guests, children and beginners on the court?
  • Is coaching held at the same time, and does it take courts away from casual play?
  • Is the court indoors, so weather does not affect play?

Check when bookings open for your venue and reserve your preferred session in advance. For other sports, see our turf and sports grounds guide, swimming pools guide and gyms and fitness centres guide. Need a racket, shoes or strings? See our sports shops guide.
