Racket stringing and services
Selection Centre Sports advertises racket stringing as an add-on through its online store. Contact the Vashi or Kharghar branch to confirm whether it accepts rackets in the shop, whether the work is done in-house, the total cost and the turnaround time. The online charge is not a verified local price. For other shops, ask the same questions before you leave a racket:
- Does the quotation include the string and the labour?
- Which racket types and brands do you accept?
- Is the requested tension within the manufacturer’s guidance for the frame?
- What happens if you find damage to the frame before work starts?
- What is the policy for a workmanship complaint or early string breakage?
- How long will it take?
Shopping needs
| If you need | What to ask the shop |

| Cricket kit | Junior and adult sizes, and the bat and protective equipment categories in stock |
| Swimming gear | Goggles, caps and swimwear in stock, and any exchange restrictions |
| Gym accessories | The range, the warranty and any assembly needed |
| A team order | Printing, quantities, lead time and how a quotation is made |
What to check before buying
- Invoice. Ask for it and keep it for any warranty claim or exchange.
- Authenticity. Buy from a seller you can verify, keep the invoice and use the brand’s own authenticity or authorised retailer guidance where it is available. Packaging and serial markings are checks and not proof.
- Size and fit. A racket, bat or shoe that suits a coach or friend may not suit you. Try it where possible and choose by fit and intended use.
- Returns and exchange. Know the window and whether worn or used items are taken back.
- Warranty. Ask whether the product carries a manufacturer or seller warranty, what it covers and where claims must be submitted.
- Total cost. Include strings, grips, bags, shuttles or balls, and delivery.
- Prices. Compare a brand’s own online store and the chain’s listing before you buy.
Check our turf and sports grounds guide, swimming pools guide and gyms and fitness centres guide for where to play and train, and ask the venue what gear it requires, such as non-marking shoes for indoor courts.
