Sagar Vihar and Mini Seashore are two waterfront places in Vashi that people often mix up. Both sit along the creek, and they are about 1.3 km apart. They are not the same place, and they are in different states of repair right now. This guide explains which is which, what is reported about each, and what to check before you go. No opening hours or entry rules have been published for either, so the details below are dated reports.
The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) is the civic body involved at both parks, according to the reports. Hours, entry and the state of the paths can change, so confirm on the NMMC toll-free numbers 1800 222 309 and 1800 222 310, which are general civic helplines, so ask for the Vashi ward. This is an independent guide and is not run by NMMC.

Sagar Vihar
Curly Tales describes Sagar Vihar as a park that opens onto Thane Creek, with a circular layout, steps down to the water and the Veer Savarkar Udyan flower garden. Newsband reported on 13 November 2025 that the municipal solid waste department, with NSS students from a Vashi college and local residents, cleaned Sagar Vihar in Sector 8 and its seashore and collected 35 bags of garbage.
The I Love Navi Mumbai guide, which is undated, adds that the park has walking tracks, benches and shaded seating, parking on a first come basis, no dedicated drinking water, and a security guard at the gate during park hours. It advises visiting in daylight only, bringing your own snacks and says weekends are crowded. It lists the rules as no littering, no smoking or alcohol, staying on the paths and no loud music or large gatherings. Because the steps lead down to the water, ask about step-free access if anyone in your group needs it.
Boating is the point on which the sources disagree. The same guide says boating stopped more than twenty years ago, yet a photograph on Wikimedia Commons dated April 2011 shows paddle boating at Sagar Vihar. So it did run in 2011. Whether any boating runs now is not confirmed, so do not plan a visit around it.
Mini Seashore
Mini Seashore is a waterfront walk. Curly Tales described it on 4 December 2023 as a promenade along Vashi Creek with sunset views, and it is not a swimming beach. It is popular with walkers and joggers.
A Newsband report of 5 October 2026 places the walking track in Sector 9A and says concreting work and the digging up of paver blocks were under way. Walkers complained about dust and delays, and an 80 year old regular walker said the blocks could have been removed in phases. NatConnect Foundation alleged that labourers dumped debris into the adjoining holding pond, which the report calls poorly maintained and covered in algae. The Vashi ward officer said an engineer would visit and that action would be taken against the contractor. The report does not say when the work will finish, so check which sections are open and avoid it if anyone in your group needs an even surface.
Which one should you visit?

| Both in one outing | Visit each separately | The 1.3 km route between them, which you may want to travel by auto |
| Boating | Neither, for now | No source confirms boating today |
Getting there
Both parks are about 2.8 to 2.9 km from Vashi station on foot, or 4.7 km by road, on the map estimates above. For bus routes, see the NMMT bus guide, and for the station, the Vashi railway station guide.
