Mumbai One is a common mobility app developed by MMRDA (the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority). It combines ticketing for several Mumbai-region transport operators in one app, and Navi Mumbai Metro and NMMT are both on its list. This guide covers how to find the genuine app, which services it includes, which return tickets are confirmed, and what to check if a payment goes wrong.
NaviMumbai.com is an independent publication and is not affiliated with MMRDA or the app. We reviewed official publications and app-store information on 3 October 2026. We did not complete a ticket purchase or test refunds, so we describe no booking screens or steps. The featured image is an AI-generated illustration, not a screenshot of the app.

Download the Genuine App
As checked on 3 October 2026, the official store listings are below. Check that the publisher is Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Limited (MMMOCL).
- Google Play: app name “Mumbai One”, package com.mmrda, developer Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Limited.
- Apple App Store: app name “Mumbai One”, seller Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation.
The current Apple listing requires iOS 16.6 or later. Check the relevant app store for compatibility with your device before downloading. The app’s older published terms (version 1.3) mention Android 10 and iOS 16.2, so those figures should not be treated as current installation requirements. The terms describe the app as a product of MMRDA and MMMOCL. MMRDA’s release does not link to either listing, so install only from the listings above and don’t use links sent in messages.
What the App Is
MMRDA’s launch release, dated 9 October 2025, says “the MMRDA has developed a Common Mobility Mobile App.” It lists a single QR-based digital ticket for travel across metro, bus, monorail and suburban rail, a trilingual interface, and cashless and contactless transactions through digital wallets and prepaid balance. It also says there are no extra user charges, with all costs borne by MMRDA. The Prime Minister’s launch on 8 October 2025 is recorded in a PIB release.
The release describes these features: quick booking of individual operators’ tickets, map-based booking for Mumbai Metro and Mumbai Suburban train services, and a journey planner that generates a single dynamic QR ticket for an entire trip. It also mentions nearby stations and attractions, a city guide, and an SOS feature that sends your location to preselected trusted contacts. The Google Play listing adds favourite routes, booking history and customer support and feedback. The Apple release notes for version 1.4 add that the journey planner supports multiple passengers.
What “single QR ticket” means. The release describes a single QR ticket for a journey. Follow the operators, journey legs, ticket type and validity shown on the ticket you purchase, and don’t assume a ticket bought for one service covers another.
Journey planner limits. The app’s terms call the journey planner “only indicative” and leave the accuracy of timetables, fares and routes with the operators. Treat planner timings as guidance, and check current operator notices for service disruptions, operating hours and changes affecting your trip.
Transport Services Listed by Mumbai One
The October 2025 launch list
Per MMRDA’s launch release, these 11 operators had integrated with the app:
| Operator | Relevant to Navi Mumbai? |
|---|---|
| Navi Mumbai Metro | Yes: the Belapur to Pendhar line |
| Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport (NMMT) | Yes: Navi Mumbai’s city buses |
| Mumbai Suburban Railway | Yes: which ticket types it covers is not stated |
| Mumbai Metro Line 1 (Versova to Ghatkopar), Lines 2A and 7, and Line 3 | For Mumbai trips |
| Mumbai Monorail | For Mumbai trips |
| BEST | Mumbai city buses |
| Thane, Mira Bhayander and Kalyan Dombivali municipal transport | Bus services in those cities |
“Metro Line 1” in the release means the Versova to Ghatkopar line, not Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1, which is a separate operator.
MMRDA’s August 2026 release
MMRDA’s 12 August 2026 release still speaks of 11 operators or services, but its ticket table groups Metro Lines 2A, 7, 2B and 9 together, so Lines 2B and 9 are named there and not in the launch list. An operator being integrated does not mean every route or ticket product is on sale. For example, the releases do not say which suburban rail ticket types the app sells, and a news report at launch said season and return train tickets were not yet bookable, which may be out of date.
Which Return Tickets Are Confirmed?
The app’s official release notes confirm return journey tickets on some Mumbai Metro lines:
| Release notes | Confirmed feature |
|---|---|
| Apple version 1.4 (5 March 2026) | Return journey tickets for Mumbai Metro Lines 2A and 7 |
| Apple version 1.5 (1 July 2026), and Google Play’s current update notes | Return journey tickets for Mumbai Metro Lines 3 and 1 |
Line 1 here means the Versova to Ghatkopar line. These notes do not mention Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1 or suburban railway tickets, so return-ticket availability for either is not established by them.
Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1 on the App
Navi Mumbai Metro is a named operator in MMRDA’s release, and the August 2026 release records 3,38,718 Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1 tickets through the app, which is evidence of actual use, not only an announced integration. No official page we found describes how Navi Mumbai Metro booking looks on the screen, so we describe no screens and no steps. Check your selected stations and ticket details before you pay.
CIDCO, which owns Navi Mumbai Metro, announced QR paper ticketing on Line 1 from 17 June 2025 and listed mobile app ticketing, WhatsApp ticketing and NCMC (the National Common Mobility Card) as coming soon, on a page that does not mention Mumbai One and may be out of date. Being on Mumbai One does not establish that WhatsApp ticketing or NCMC works on Line 1. For current operator information, check CIDCO first. For fares, stations and timings, see our Navi Mumbai Metro fare guide and route map guide, and for buses our NMMT guide.
Mumbai One, RailOne and the Old UTS App
Mumbai One and RailOne are separate apps from different organisations. Mumbai One was developed by MMRDA and is published by MMMOCL. RailOne is Indian Railways’ own app, launched on 1 July 2025 by the Railway Minister at the Centre for Railway Information Systems’ foundation day, according to a PIB release. We found no official statement that Mumbai One replaces any railway app.
| Mumbai One | RailOne | |
|---|---|---|
| Run by | MMRDA developed it; MMMOCL is the publisher on both stores | Indian Railways |
| What it covers | 11 operators in MMRDA’s October 2025 launch list: metro, monorail, suburban rail and municipal buses | Reserved, unreserved and platform tickets, train and PNR enquiry and Railmadad, per a PIB release of 18 March 2026 |
| Suburban rail tickets | Suburban rail is an integrated operator, and MMRDA reports 15,70,906 suburban railway tickets through the app by 12 August 2026. The releases do not say which ticket types it sells. | Unreserved ticketing is part of the app, per PIB |
| Metro and city buses | Yes, in the same app | Not in PIB’s list of RailOne services |
The railways’ older UTS on Mobile app is a different matter. Storyboard18 (25 February 2026) and DT Next (1 March 2026) report that the UTS app stopped from 1 March 2026 and that its unreserved ticket, platform ticket and season pass functions moved to RailOne. We did not find the original railway notice, so treat that date as reported. PIB’s July 2025 release says RailOne accepts existing UTS credentials. If you are choosing an app for a local train ticket, check that it sells the ticket type you need, whether single, season or return, before relying on it. Our local train guide covers the suburban network.
Payments, Refunds and Support
Official sources name only “digital wallets and prepaid balance” and “preferred digital payment methods”, so we can’t list UPI or cards as supported. We also found no official statement on ticket validity or concession fares.
If something goes wrong
| Situation | What to check |
|---|---|
| Payment deducted, no ticket visible | Booking history, the transaction status and official support. A bank debit alone does not prove a valid ticket exists. |
| Payment still pending | The payment status, before assuming a ticket was issued. |
| Ticket issued, you no longer want to travel | The cancellation conditions that apply to that ticket. We found no cancellation or refund policy for confirmed tickets. |
| QR rejected at entry | The ticket details shown in the app, and ask the operator’s station staff for help. |
The app’s terms say ticket issues go to the app’s customer support, and that payment queries are handled by raising a charge-back with the issuing bank.
Refund timing for failed transactions. MMMOCL’s replies on the Google Play listing, dated 27 July and 8 September 2026, say the bank or payment provider processes refunds for failed transactions and that they typically take 5 to 7 working days. The same replies give 1800 268 4242 or mumbaione@mmmocl.co.in if the refund is not credited after that. This is a developer reply, not a refund guarantee or a cancellation policy.
Official support
As checked on 3 October 2026, the Google Play listing shows ithelpdesk@mmmocl.co.in as the app’s support email. The Apple release notes mention a grievance section in the app, and the terms mention support by email or toll-free number. When you contact support, keep this information ready:
- Booking or transaction reference.
- Payment date and amount.
- Selected operator and journey.
- Error message or payment status.
Use official support channels only, and don’t post payment details or ticket QR codes publicly. The terms say users must not share a QR code ticket with anyone.
Usage Figures, August 2026
MMRDA’s 12 August 2026 release reports 1,04,11,824 tickets, about 1.04 crore, and 8,16,402 downloads, of which 74% were Android and 26% iOS. It gives 3,38,718 tickets for Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1 and 16,698 for NMMT. These are ticket counts, not unique users.
Before You Travel
- Install the app from the official listings above and check the publisher name.
- Check your selected stations, operator and ticket details before paying.
- Keep a second way to pay or a counter ticket in case a payment fails; refunds for failed transactions can take several working days.
- Check current notices from the operator first (CIDCO for Navi Mumbai Metro, NMMT for buses) for timings, fares and disruptions. Our guides explain the background, but the app does not replace the operator’s own notices.
