This guide covers nine MMS institutes in Navi Mumbai that take part in Maharashtra’s centralised admission process (CAP), in Belapur, Nerul, Vashi, Sanpada, Ghansoli, Kharghar and Kamothe. It is not a ranking and not a verified count of every management school in the region, because some MBA programmes admit through their own processes. It uses the State Common Entrance Test Cell’s seat matrix, cut-off lists and vacancy list for the 2026-27 cycle, plus the fee notices two colleges publish, and explains what the numbers mean, how admission works and what to ask a college.
Details read on 19 October 2026 from the Maharashtra CET Cell MBA/MMS 2026 admission portal, which lists the revised seat matrix published on 27 July 2026, the CAP Round I cut-off lists and the provisional vacancy list after CAP Round IV published on 8 September 2026. The portal now marks all 2026-27 processes as closed, and the latest completed cycle’s figures do not predict next year’s. Pillai HOC Institute of Management Studies and Research is in the same list but is not in Navi Mumbai. This guide does not quote placements or ranks.

For the other colleges, and for exact addresses, check the college.

Source: the revised provisional seat distribution published on 27 July 2026. Sanctioned intake is the approved intake for the programme. The seats filled through the CAP are the Maharashtra, All India and minority seats together, so minority seats are part of the CAP and not outside it, while institute level seats are handled separately. Read the current matrix for the exact breakdown, because it can be revised.
What the cut-off figures mean
The Round I cut-off list shows, for each category, the merit number and the merit percentile of the last candidate allotted a seat. A merit number is a rank in the CET Cell’s merit list and not an examination mark. Category codes start with G for general. A code ending in H means home university candidates, here the University of Mumbai, O means candidates from other universities, and S means state level seats. So GOPENH is the general open category for home university candidates and GOPENO is the general open category for other university candidates. These are different applicant pools, so do not compare them directly.
- A cut-off is the last allotment in one category in one round, not an admission guarantee for any year.
- The table below shows Round I only. Later-round cut-offs may differ according to the seats available, the category and the allotment stage.
- Autonomous colleges such as Rajeev Gandhi College list their seats at state level, so they show GOPENS and no home university figure.
- Minority, EWS, TFWS and other quotas have their own cut-offs in the full list.
CAP Round I cut-offs, general open category, 2026-27
| College | Choice code | GOPENH merit no. | Percentile | GOPENO merit no. | Percentile |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| S.I.E.S. College of Management Studies, Nerul | 0310910210 | 1,043 | 98.67 | 918 | 98.89 |
| Bharati Vidyapeeth IMSR, CBD Belapur | 0310110210 | 4,792 | 91.39 | 2,890 | 95.26 |
| Fr. C. Rodrigues Institute of Management Studies, Vashi | 0311610210 | 5,158 | 90.61 | 4,090 | 92.82 |
| MGM Institute of Management Studies and Research, Kamothe | 0310510210 | 8,204 | 84.47 | 5,305 | 90.32 |
| NCRD’s Sterling Institute, Nerul | 0312710210 | 11,324 | 78.20 | 11,221 | 78.40 |
| Indira Institute of Business Management, Sanpada | 0315110210 | 14,572 | 71.94 | 6,450 | 87.86 |
| Oriental Institute of Management, Vashi | 0313610210 | 18,665 | 64.20 | 25,121 | 52.85 |
| A.C. Patil College of Engineering (MMS), Kharghar | 0314610210 | 24,044 | 54.51 | 25,898 | 51.10 |
Rajeev Gandhi College of Management Studies, Ghansoli (choice code 0315910210), lists state level seats only. Its Round I general open state level cut-off, GOPENS, was merit number 18,905 (64.06 percentile). Figures are as printed in the CAP Round I cut-off list for Maharashtra and minority seats, 2026-27, on the portal’s home page. Compare your own category separately.
Historical vacancies after CAP Round IV: 2026-27
These figures record the provisional vacancies published on 8 September 2026. They do not represent seats currently available for admission, because the CET Cell portal now marks the 2026-27 process as closed. They show how many CAP seats each college still had after Round IV, and the CET Cell notes that the figures could change with later cancellations.
| College | CAP seats vacant after Round IV (8 September 2026) |
|---|---|
| Indira Institute of Business Management, Sanpada | 6 |
| S.I.E.S. College of Management Studies, Nerul | 13 |
| MGM Institute of Management Studies and Research, Kamothe | 26 |
| NCRD’s Sterling Institute, Nerul | 27 |
| Rajeev Gandhi College of Management Studies, Ghansoli | 29 |
| A.C. Patil College of Engineering (MMS), Kharghar | 31 |
| Fr. C. Rodrigues Institute of Management Studies, Vashi | 34 |
| Oriental Institute of Management, Vashi | 34 |
| Bharati Vidyapeeth IMSR, CBD Belapur | 50 |
Vacant seats after the CAP are filled through separate institute level and against CAP processes with their own notices, so they are not simply another allotment round. A vacancy count says nothing about quality, since it depends on the cut-offs, the minority quota and where candidates finally joined.
Fees published by the colleges
Fees are set by the Fees Regulating Authority and differ by college and year. Two of the nine colleges publish a 2026-27 fee notice on their own sites, and they are shown below. For the other colleges, check the college’s own fee page and the Authority’s fee search report.
| College | Programme and period | Tuition and development fee | Separately listed | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| S.I.E.S. College of Management Studies, Nerul | MMS, first year, 2026-27 | Tuition ₹2,04,348 plus development ₹30,652, total ₹2,35,000 | Caution money ₹25,000. Management seat fees are listed separately | Fee notice dated 1 August 2026 |
| Rajeev Gandhi College of Management Studies, Ghansoli | MMS, 2026-27 FRA fee structure | Tuition ₹89,520 plus development ₹12,980, total ₹1,02,500 | Caution money listed as not applicable. A category wise schedule is on the same page | FRA fee structure page |
The development fee is already part of each total, so do not add it again. These are the fees the colleges publish for the period shown, not a confirmed cost of the whole two year degree, and the notices carry their own conditions for each category and seat type. Check the college for hostel and other charges.
How admission works
This comparison looks at Maharashtra seats filled through the CAP. The MBA/MMS CAP portal also publishes All India merit and cut-off information, and other management programmes admit through separate processes. For the exact rules, use the current information brochure on the portal and check these points.
- Entrance score. Which entrance scores apply depends on your candidature and the seat route, so read the brochure and do not assume that every national test score counts for every seat. Registering for an entrance exam and registering for the admission process are separate steps.
- Eligibility. Check the graduation requirement, the minimum marks and whether final year candidates may apply, with the document deadline for each.
- Registration and scrutiny. You register on the CAP portal, upload documents and have them verified. Keep your marksheets, entrance scorecard and the category and candidature certificates the brochure asks for. See our EWS certificate guide, non-creamy layer certificate guide and caste validity certificate guide.
- Merit list. Check the provisional merit list and raise any correction within the stated window.
- Option form and rounds. You list colleges in order of preference and seats are allotted over several CAP rounds. The 2026-27 portal shows cut-off lists for Rounds I to IV and a vacancy list after Round IV.
- Seat acceptance and reporting. You accept the seat in the stated way and report to the college with your documents and fee.
- Home university and autonomous colleges. Seat types depend on whether you are a home university candidate under the candidature rules, not on where you live now. Autonomy and university affiliation are different attributes, and Rajeev Gandhi College describes itself as autonomous and affiliated to the University of Mumbai.
- Next cycle. Check the CET Cell’s main website for the 2027-28 schedule.
MBA, MMS and PGDM: what to compare
The CET Cell list names the course at these colleges M.M.S., the Master of Management Studies of the University of Mumbai, while colleges of other universities in the same list show M.B.A. Some institutes offer a PGDM instead of a degree. They are separate qualifications, so compare the exact programme name, the awarding body and the admission route and not the label alone.
Not every MBA in Navi Mumbai admits through the CAP. NMIMS lists Navi Mumbai among the campuses of its full time MBA, which admits through the NMAT by GMAC and its own application, as the NMAT admission handout describes. NMAT scores and NMIMS criteria are not comparable with the CAP percentiles above, so this guide does not put them in one table. Check each institute’s own pages for its dates and fees.
Getting to the campuses
The CET Cell list gives college names and the colleges’ pages give addresses, not station distances. Check each campus on a live map and plan the last stretch from the station. Our station guides cover Belapur railway station guide for Belapur, Nerul railway station guide for Nerul, Vashi railway station guide for Vashi and Kharghar railway station guide for Kharghar. For hostels, check with each college.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many MBA colleges are there in Navi Mumbai?
This guide lists nine MMS institutes in Navi Mumbai that take part in the Maharashtra CET Cell’s 2026-27 centralised admission process. It is a selection and not a verified total, because other MBA programmes, such as NMIMS Navi Mumbai, admit through their own processes.
How does admission work for the CAP-participating MMS colleges listed here?
Through the CET Cell’s centralised process, which uses a merit list, an option form and several CAP rounds. The CET Cell’s information brochure explains which entrance scores are accepted for each seat route and who is eligible.
What was the Round I cut-off for MMS at Navi Mumbai colleges?
In the CAP Round I list for 2026-27, the general open home university cut-off ranged from a merit number of 1,043 (98.67 percentile) at S.I.E.S. College of Management Studies to 24,044 (54.51) at A.C. Patil College of Engineering. Each figure is the last allotment for one category in Round I only, and later rounds may differ.
Does autonomous mean a college is not affiliated to a university?
No. An autonomous college can also be affiliated to a university. Rajeev Gandhi College of Management Studies describes itself as autonomous and affiliated to the University of Mumbai.
Were seats vacant after CAP Round IV in 2026-27?
Yes. The provisional list published on 8 September 2026 showed between 6 and 50 CAP seats vacant at the nine colleges. These are historical figures and not seats now open, since the CET Cell portal marks the 2026-27 process as closed.
Where should I check the 2027-28 Maharashtra MBA/MMS CAP schedule?
On the CET Cell’s main website, for the announcement of the next admission cycle. Universities and institutions outside this CAP comparison may follow different application calendars.
What do the two published MMS fees cover?
S.I.E.S. College of Management Studies lists a 2026-27 first year total of ₹2,35,000 and Rajeev Gandhi College lists ₹1,02,500, each including the development fee. Caution money and other charges are listed separately, and the figures are not a total for the whole degree.

Fees are from the S.I.E.S. fee notice and the Rajeev Gandhi College FRA fee structure. The MBA route is from the NMAT admission handout. Addresses are from the colleges’ own pages. This is desk research from published sources. Cut-offs are 2026-27 figures and are not forecasts, and placements are left out because a highest package alone does not describe a batch.
