Comparing football coaching in Navi Mumbai starts with the training venue, your child’s age group, the batch timings and who coaches. This guide brings together what selected operators publish on their own websites for Vashi, Kopar Khairane, Kharghar, Nerul and Taloja, and the questions to settle before enrolling. It focuses mainly on children’s football coaching, so confirm adult training and casual games separately.
Details were read from the operators’ own pages on 19 October 2026. Batches and coaches change, so confirm the current batch before you travel. This guide covers selected operators and not every academy in Navi Mumbai, and it does not rank them. It is independent and not affiliated with any academy.

Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools (BBFS)
BBFS runs a football development programme and its Mumbai page lists three centres in Navi Mumbai. Each centre page lists age groups, batch days and timings and a team of coaches, and offers a free demo session. Book the demo with the centre and confirm availability before visiting.
BBFS Vashi, Fr. Agnel
The Vashi centre is at Sector 9A, Juhu Chowpatty Marg, Juhu Nagar, Vashi 400703, and takes ages 5 to 16. The published batches are:
- Ages 5 to 7 and 7 to 9: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 7 to 8 pm.
- Ages 10 to 13: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 7 to 8 pm.
- Ages 10 to 12, 13 to 14 and 15 to 16: Saturday and Sunday, 7 to 8.30 am.
Our Vashi railway station guide covers getting to Vashi. Book a demo.
BBFS Kopar Khairane, St Mary’s School
The Kopar Khairane centre is at Plot 25 and 26, Sector 10, Kopar Khairane 400709. It lists one batch, for ages 11 to 15, on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 5 to 6 pm. See our Kopar Khairane guide. Book a demo.
BBFS Kharghar, Apeejay School
The Kharghar centre is at Apeejay School, Node, Sector 21, Kharghar 410210. It lists batches for ages 4 to 7, 8 to 11 and 12 to 15, each on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 5 to 6 pm. See our Kharghar railway station guide. Book a demo.
Navi Mumbai Sports Association, Vashi
NMSA’s football page says it conducts grassroots and beginners coaching for members as well as non-members, and names its coach, Suprith Jathanna, whom it lists as holding an AFC C coaching certificate. The website records the team’s participation in earlier Thane Football Association league seasons, so ask which competitions the current coaching batches enter. The page gives no batch timetable, age divisions or fee, so use the contact page and ask how many children are in a batch, how many children each coach handles and whether beginners can join now.
Nerul Gymkhana
Nerul Gymkhana advertises football training alongside its turf facilities. Confirm the current coaching operator, age groups, timetable and enrolment terms directly. The arena’s opening hours of 6 am to post-midnight are separate from coaching timings. The football page describes a floodlit artificial turf at Plot 5 and 5A, Sector 28, Nerul. See our Nerul railway station guide and the turf and sports grounds guide for turf bookings.
Tilak Sportsplex, Nerul
The Tilak Sportsplex site lists football among the disciplines it offers coaching in and names two academies, Proteam Sports Academy and Proschool Sports Academy. Its address is Tilak Education Complex, Plot 31-A, Seawood Fountain, Sector 25, Nerul 400706. The timings it prints for the academies are general and are not a football batch timetable, so confirm the football operator, age group and schedule before you plan around it.
Pro King Football Academy, Taloja
Pro King’s contact page lists a football academy branch at Balasaheb Thakare Law College, near the metro station and Pendhar, Sector 17, Taloja Phase 2, Navi Mumbai 410208, so confirm the training entrance. Its football page says the academy is a club registered with the Mumbai Football Association. Pro King’s site may list more than one football location, so ask which centre your child would attend.
The admission terms say membership needs a doctor’s certificate and that the membership fee is one time and non-refundable. Members provide their own equipment and wear the club uniform, and match fees are excluded from coaching fees. Ask for the full cost of membership, coaching, uniform, equipment and matches before enrolling.
Reliance Foundation Young Champs, Ghansoli
Reliance Foundation Young Champs is a different kind of option from the coaching batches above. Its own site describes it as an academy launched in May 2015 and based in Navi Mumbai, with a project office at Reliance Corporate Park, Ghansoli. It says it hosts 90 children from around the country across five age groups, U14, U15, U16, U17 and U19, and offers fully funded scholarships after a yearlong scouting process. That makes it a selective scholarship academy and not a class a parent can enrol a child in.
Its scouting notice for the 2025/26 season, dated 20 September 2024, set out the route for the U14 batch. Boys born between 1 January 2012 and 31 December 2013 could enter by completing eight drills on the aiScout app, after which the strongest players were invited to on-ground trials and a final camp in May. Entries for that cycle closed on 31 December 2024. Eligibility changes with each cycle, so check the academy’s site for the current birth years, dates and how to apply. The notice does not mention an application fee. Use the enquiry form on the site for questions.
Fees: what to confirm
| Cost | What parents should confirm |
|---|---|
| Coaching | The amount, the payment period and the sessions included |
| Registration or membership | Whether it is one time or recurring |
| Kit | Mandatory purchases and replacement costs |
| Matches | Entry, travel and other charges |
| Missed sessions | Rain cancellations, make-up classes and credits |
| Withdrawal | Refund rules and the notice period |
Ask for the fee with its date, branch and billing period. If a centre quotes an annual package, ask for the monthly equivalent only as a comparison and not as a monthly payment option.
How to choose a football academy
- Age group and batch. Check that the batch matches your child’s age and level, and that the days and times fit school hours and exams.
- Venue. Ask whether sessions are on a school ground, a turf or an academy ground, and what happens in the monsoon.
- Coaches. Ask who coaches the batch, which qualification they hold and how many children each coach handles.
- Continuity. Ask who coaches when the usual coach is absent, and how cancelled sessions are handled.
- Progress. Ask how your child’s development is reviewed and shared with parents.
- Trial. Ask whether there is a free demo or trial and what to bring.
- Matches. Ask which competitions the batch enters and what they cost.
- Safety. Ask about first aid, supervision, pick-up arrangements and how concerns are reported.
- Girls and mixed batches. Ask whether girls train in a separate or mixed batch.
- Refunds. Ask for the written refund and cancellation terms.
Use a message like this: My child is [age] and is a [beginner or experienced player]. Which batch is available, who coaches it, and what is the total fee including kit and matches?
For football boots and kit, see our sports shops guide. If your child also plays cricket, see our cricket academies guide.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which football academies are there in Navi Mumbai?
This guide covers BBFS centres in Vashi, Kopar Khairane and Kharghar, Navi Mumbai Sports Association in Vashi, Nerul Gymkhana and Tilak Sportsplex in Nerul, and the Pro King Football Academy Taloja branch. It is a selection of operators that describe themselves on their own sites and not a full list.
How do I choose a football academy for a beginner?
Check that the age group and batch fit your child, ask for a trial session, find out who coaches and supervises, check the commute, and ask for the total cost including kit and matches.
What age can a child start football coaching?
It depends on the centre. BBFS lists groups from age 4 at Kharghar and age 5 at Vashi, and 11 to 15 at Kopar Khairane. The other operators do not publish an age band, so ask.
Is there a free trial for football coaching?
BBFS says each centre offers a free demo session. Book it with the centre and confirm availability. Ask the other operators whether they offer a trial.
Are weekend football batches available?
BBFS Vashi lists Saturday and Sunday morning batches for ages 10 to 12, 13 to 14 and 15 to 16. The other pages do not publish weekend batches, so ask.
Can girls join the listed coaching programmes?
The pages read do not say whether batches are mixed or separate, so ask each academy whether girls can join the batch for their age.
Is booking a turf the same as joining an academy?
No. Booking a turf rents the ground, and an academy offers coaching with a batch and a coach. Nerul Gymkhana lists both, so ask which one you are booking.
How much does football coaching cost in Navi Mumbai?
Current fee amounts were not displayed on the pages checked, so request a written quote covering coaching, registration, kit and match charges.
Can my child join Reliance Foundation Young Champs?
It is a selective scholarship academy in Ghansoli, not a paid class. Players are chosen through a yearlong scouting process. For the 2025/26 U14 batch, boys born between 1 January 2012 and 31 December 2013 entered through aiScout online trials, and entries closed on 31 December 2024. Check the academy’s site for the current cycle.
