Cricket Academies in Navi Mumbai: Coaching and Locations

The pages read do not state a fee, and batches, coaches and enrolment conditions change, so confirm everything with the operator before you pay. The guide covers selected operators and not every academy in Navi Mumbai. It does not take admissions and is not affiliated with any academy.

Navi Mumbai Sports Association, Vashi

NMSA’s cricket page names Javed Khan, whom it describes as a BCCI Level-1 coach, and says he coaches the senior team and the U-12, U-14, U-16, U-19 and U-23 groups. It lists several Mumbai Cricket Association tournaments the team plays and says it plays practice matches against other academies. The page gives no timetable or fee, so ask NMSA at Sector 1A, Vashi. Our Vashi railway station guide covers getting there.

Nerul Gymkhana Cricket Academy

The academy page describes three pitches for training, coaching by Jalal Sheikh and cricket kits provided by the gymkhana, and it describes tennis cricket coaching. It does not say whether tennis ball and leather ball coaching are separate programmes, whether non-members can join, or which protective gear trainees must bring, so ask these directly through the contact page. The gymkhana is at Plot 5 and 5A, Sector 28, Nerul.

Pro King Cricket Academy, Roadpali

Pro King Sports Academy lists a Pro King Cricket Academy Roadpali branch on its contact page with a phone number, and its activities page names that branch as a venue for MCA tournament trials in September 2025. Its home page says it coaches football and cricket aspirants in Kharghar, Nerul, Juinagar, Taloja, Panvel and Roadpali, but this guide has no street address for any other cricket branch, so confirm the branch and ground with the academy. The admission terms say membership needs a doctor’s certificate and that members provide their own equipment. Our Kharghar railway station guide helps with the Kharghar side.

DY Patil Sports Academy

DY Patil’s official academy page describes cricket coaching camps and says amateur sportspersons of all ages are welcome. It does not give a current enrolment calendar, so contact the operator to confirm the current programme, training venue, eligibility and enrolment process through the stadium contact page. For the stadium itself, see our DY Patil Stadium guide.

TMGA at DY Patil: historical programme information

A February 2020 announcement described a Tendulkar Middlesex Global Academy programme planned at the DY Patil sports centre. It is shown here only as history. The announcement does not establish current admissions, coaches, fees or schedules, so current enrolment has not been confirmed, and it is not listed above as a current option. That does not mean the programme has closed. If you are interested, ask DY Patil whether it runs now and how it relates to the DY Patil academy.

Fees and membership: what to ask

Cost component Question to ask
Registration Is it a one-time charge or renewed every year, and is it refundable?
Coaching Is it charged monthly, quarterly or by season?
Session allowance How many sessions a week, and how long is each?
Equipment Is kit shared, compulsory to buy or available to rent?
Matches Are match fees included or charged separately?
Membership Is club membership required in addition to coaching?
Missed sessions Are replacement sessions offered?
Refunds What are the written cancellation and refund terms?

Ask for the fee in writing with the period, the branch, the batch and the inclusions. Compare quotes for the same batch and period. Training frequency varies by programme, so confirm the weekly commitment before joining.

Choosing a batch and arranging a trial

  • Beginners or experienced players. Ask how trainees are divided by skill and age, and whether a beginner can join a batch that also prepares for tournaments.
  • Juniors or adults. An operator that welcomes players of all ages has not necessarily published an adult beginner batch, so ask.
  • Girls and mixed batches. Ask whether there is a girls’ batch or a mixed batch.
  • Coaching or team selection. Ask whether matches and team selection are separate from coaching enrolment.
  • Specialist coaching. Ask whether batting, bowling or wicketkeeping coaching is offered and how it is arranged.
  • Coach. Ask who coaches the batch and what coaching qualification they hold.
  • Ground and nets. Ask where sessions are held, the number of pitches and nets, and whether the ground is shared.
  • Monsoon and lights. Ask what happens to outdoor coaching in the monsoon, whether there is an indoor alternative and whether evening sessions have floodlights.
  • Facilities. Check drinking water, toilets and a waiting area for parents.
  • Supervision. Ask about supervision, authorised pick-up arrangements, whether parents can watch a session and how concerns are reported.
  • Safety. Ask which protective gear trainees must bring and what first aid is available.
  • Trial. Ask whether there is a trial session and what to bring to it.

If you only want to play, not enrol

If you want occasional nets or a weekend game instead, see our turf and sports grounds guide, which covers grounds for box cricket and practice. For bats, pads and shoes, see the sports shops guide. The Nerul railway station guide and the Nerul guide help with getting to Nerul. Frequently Asked Questions

Which cricket coaching options are there in Navi Mumbai?

This guide covers Navi Mumbai Sports Association in Vashi, Nerul Gymkhana in Nerul, the Pro King Cricket Academy Roadpali branch and DY Patil Sports Academy. It is a selection of operators that describe their coaching on their own sites and not a full list.

Does DY Patil currently accept applications for cricket coaching?

The official academy page describes coaching camps but does not publish a current enrolment calendar. Contact the operator to confirm the current programme, venue, eligibility and enrolment process.

Can non-members join cricket coaching at a gymkhana or club?

The pages read do not say. NMSA is a members’ club and Nerul Gymkhana is a gymkhana, so ask each whether non-members can join the coaching and whether membership costs extra.

Is cricket coaching available for adults?

DY Patil says amateur players of all ages are welcome, and NMSA lists a senior team. Neither page states a dedicated adult beginner batch, so ask.

What should a beginner bring to a trial session?

Ask the operator. Pro King’s admission terms say members provide their own equipment, while Nerul Gymkhana says it provides kits, so the answer differs between academies. Water, comfortable sports shoes and any protective gear the academy requires are sensible questions to settle first.

What happens to outdoor coaching in the monsoon?

None of the pages read states a monsoon arrangement, so ask whether sessions pause, move indoors or continue, and whether fees change.

How can I check whether a batch suits my child’s age and ability?

Ask how trainees are grouped, who coaches the batch and whether there is a trial session. NMSA lists U-12 to U-23 groups, and the other pages do not state age groups.

Sources and method

The operators’ own pages: the NMSA cricket page, the Nerul Gymkhana cricket academy page and contact page, the Pro King contact page, activities page and admission terms, and the DY Patil Sports Academy page and contact page. The Tendulkar Middlesex Global Academy announcement is used only as historical information. This is desk research from published sources. It does not rank academies, judge coaching quality or quote fees, because none of these pages states one. If you run an academy and want details added or corrected, contact us.
