Navi Mumbai Airport Jobs: Official Careers and How to Apply

Education & Career

Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) opened to commercial flights on 25 December 2025. There is no single airport recruitment desk. Jobs sit with the airport operator, the airlines and the other companies that work at the airport, and each posts its own vacancies. This guide gives the official starting points, explains how to find a role in Navi Mumbai and check its eligibility, and shows how to avoid recruitment scams.

Details checked on 18 October 2026 from the airport operator’s careers pages, Akasa Air’s careers page, and a Free Press Journal report of 7 June 2026. A careers page is not a vacancy list, so open the employer’s own portal to see current roles. This guide does not list vacancies and does not take applications.

Official career links

These links go to the employers’ own sites. NaviMumbai.com is not a recruiter.

Who hires and where to look

Employer Official starting point Role categories Location wording to check Application route
Airport operator (NMIA) NMIA careers page and the Adani airports recruitment portal it links to Set by each listing The portal covers Adani Group airports, so results include other airports and head office roles. Look for Navi Mumbai in the listing The portal, as stated on the NMIA page
Akasa Air Careers page Flight Operations, Inflight Services and Ground Services, per its page Its page names no base location, so read the location in each posting Its careers page
IndiGo Careers site Airline roles such as airport operations and customer service may be advertised, so check the categories Navi Mumbai, not only Mumbai, and the event date for any walk-in drive The careers site. Confirm the posting is still open
Air India Express Careers page Check the categories on its page The base city in the posting Its careers page
Shops, food outlets and other businesses inside the airport The brand’s own careers page Varies The outlet and airport named in the vacancy Recruitment may be handled by the brand, franchisee, concessionaire or staffing contractor. Confirm the legal employer named in the vacancy and offer letter
Ground handling, cargo and security companies Not listed here Varies Check that the vacancy names Navi Mumbai Confirm the company’s connection to NMIA before you apply

NMIA’s careers page links to the Adani recruitment portal. Check that portal for individual vacancies, and confirm the employer, the work location and the application status in each listing. The project office address on the NMIA page is a postal address and not an application or walk-in interview location. A careers landing page that shows no listings does not mean no roles exist, and an old posting that is still online does not mean applications are open.

Job boards and blogs copy vacancies and often carry old or unverified posts. Treat them as a pointer, and confirm the posting on the employer’s own page before you apply.

Freshers, qualifications and pay

Your question What to do
Can freshers apply? Some roles may accept freshers. Check the experience requirement in the specific vacancy
Are there 10th or 12th pass roles? Requirements vary by employer and role. Do not apply one qualification to all airport jobs
Is an aviation diploma compulsory? Follow the vacancy requirements and do not assume every role needs one
What is the age limit? Check the individual notification
What salary can I expect? Use figures the employer publishes. Separate fixed pay from allowances and deductions, and ask for the breakdown in writing
Are all airport jobs government jobs? No. Identify the legal employer and the employment terms. An airline, an airport operator and a government agency each recruit differently

Eligibility is role specific. A security or ground services posting may name particular education and experience, and an old posting shows only what that role needed at the time. This guide does not state qualifications or salaries for airport roles generally.

How to apply

  • Open the employer’s official careers page from the links above.
  • Follow its link to the recruitment portal.
  • Search for Navi Mumbai and the role you want.
  • Confirm the actual work location, since Mumbai alone is not enough.
  • Read the qualifications, experience, closing date and employment terms.
  • Apply through the route the listing states.
  • Save the job reference, the application confirmation and any message you receive from the employer.

Keep an updated CV, education certificates, identity proof and experience letters ready, and use only the documents the posting asks for. Obtain category documents only where the recruitment notification requires them. If one does, see our EWS certificate guide and caste validity certificate guide.

Recruitment scams

NMIA’s careers page says the airport does not charge fees for job applications or interviews, and treats any payment request tied to a job offer or interview as fraud. Akasa Air says that fraudsters misuse its brand and employee identities, that it does not charge job seekers fees or deposits, does not work with agents who sell jobs and never asks for personal financial details during recruitment. It asks people to report suspected fraudulent offers to jobverification@akasaair.com.

NMIA and Akasa state that they do not charge recruitment fees. Never pay an intermediary to secure a job. For government recruitment, verify any application fee against the official notification and pay only through the prescribed official process. For example, the Airports Authority of India has said that the only payment it asks for is the application fee at online registration, as reported by the Assam Tribune. That is AAI’s own wording and does not mean AAI is recruiting at NMIA.

  • Do not pay anyone for an application, an interview, a medical, a uniform or a job offer.
  • A free email address is a warning sign, not proof of fraud, and a branded email or a logo is not proof of authenticity either. Check the sender and website against the employer’s own careers page.
  • A paid course is a different transaction from a job. A course fee must not be presented as payment for a guaranteed job.
  • Details such as bank account numbers are needed for payroll after you have joined a verified employer. Do not share bank credentials, card numbers or an OTP with a recruiter who contacts you unasked.
  • Be careful with offers by WhatsApp or phone, especially if they promise a job without an interview.
  • If in doubt, contact the employer through the details on its own site and report the offer.

Training for project affected persons

A Free Press Journal report dated 7 June 2026 described free three month aviation skills training for persons affected by the airport project, with CIDCO and the Maharashtra State Skill Development Society, run by Vipra Skill India Pvt Ltd. The courses named include customer service executive, airline baggage handler, airport cargo operations and airline ground staff. The report gave the training provider’s New Panvel address, Plot 12, Road 2, Sector 1, New Panvel East 410206, a phone number, 7021752324, and an email address, mssdscidco@gmail.com, for registration and details.

  • The programme is for project affected persons, which is a specific group and not all Navi Mumbai residents.
  • The report does not define eligibility, give a deadline or show that a batch is open now. Confirm current batch availability, eligibility and registration requirements with CIDCO or the authorised provider before you apply.
  • Training is separate from employment. Completing a course does not establish a job offer.
  • The course is described as free, so treat any request for a fee to join as suspect.

Before you accept an offer

  • Ask for a written offer letter naming the legal employer, the job title, the location, pay and its breakdown, shift pattern and probation terms.
  • Check whether the role needs a background check or security clearance, and what documents that involves.
  • Confirm the staff reporting gate, the shift start and finish times, any employer transport and any transport deduction. Passenger terminal access may differ from the workplace reporting point.
  • For passenger access to the airport, see our how to reach the airport guide and nearest station to the airport guide. Our Navi Mumbai International Airport guide covers the airport itself.
  • Compare the role with other local options in our IT companies and tech parks guide.

Sources and method

The NMIA careers page and the Adani airports recruitment portal, Akasa Air’s careers page, IndiGo’s careers site and Air India Express’s careers page for where employers publish jobs, a Free Press Journal report for the training, and an Assam Tribune report for AAI’s fraud warning. This is desk research from published sources. It does not list vacancies, salaries or qualifications for airport roles, and it does not name ground handling companies at NMIA.
