Check the airport name and code on your ticket before you leave home: Navi Mumbai International Airport uses NMI, while Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport uses BOM. They are different airports, so confirming which one your flight uses before leaving can prevent a major travel disruption.

NMIA supports international passenger operations from Terminal 1. They began on 15 July 2026 with Air India Express flight IX207 to Abu Dhabi. Air India’s newsroom, writing on 16 July 2026, said the airline was then flying the route three times a week. On NMIA’s airline page, Air India Express is the only airline marked for international flights. Winter Schedule From 25 October 2026
Adani Airports said on 5 October 2026 that the winter schedule runs from 25 October 2026 to 27 March 2027. Airlines can add, drop or retime flights when a schedule changes, so check your airline’s timetable and NMIA’s live board for any flight you book after 25 October. On 14 October 2026, Mumbai International Airport Limited published a media statement saying its leadership met the airlines’ operators committee and committed not to disturb any slots for the winter schedule. It said a joint working group would draft a plan for the Terminal 1 redevelopment over the next two weeks, that airlines had committed to support traffic balancing from the summer schedule, and that both sides would meet again on 28 October. Check the airport named on your ticket, because plans can change after that meeting.

NMIA’s official facilities page, as shown on 14 October 2026, lists an information desk, lost and found, Wi-Fi, special assistance, Digi Yatra, self-baggage drop, a baby care room, buggy service, baggage trolleys, a prayer room, a smoking room, charging stations, help phones, a dwelling zone and ATMs. NMIA’s services page also lists lounges, Pranaam meet and greet, valet parking, a medical centre, a pharmacy, a spa service, vending machines, ticketing counters and the Swirl Transit Hotel.
Adani Airports described the Swirl Transit Hotel on 6 October 2026 as an 80-room hotel on the Arrivals Level of Terminal 1, with four-hour and overnight stays and a 24-hour restaurant.
Digi Yatra supports face-recognition-based contactless processing for eligible passengers at applicable checkpoints. Facility lists change, so check NMIA’s facilities page for anything you depend on, such as special assistance.
Lounges, Shopping & Duty Free
Lounges are available at NMIA Terminal 1. NMIA’s lounge page, read on 22 October 2026, lists the Adani Silver Lounge on Level 3, in the post-security hold area for domestic departures. It is open 24 hours and offers a buffet, an open bar, relaxation, reading, tech and workspace zones, Wi-Fi, a baby care room, flight information, express ironing and a pre-order facility.
The lounge page does not say who can enter, which cards or memberships are accepted or what it costs, so ask the lounge or your card issuer before you count on access. Amenities and rules can change, so check the airport’s current lounge information before travelling.

Getting to NMIA
Road travel time to NMIA varies substantially by origin, route and traffic, so use live navigation before you leave rather than relying on a citywide travel-time estimate. There is currently no direct operational metro or rail connection to the airport. Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1 is operational between CBD Belapur and Pendhar, but it doesn’t reach NMIA, so travellers using public transport may need a road transfer for the final leg.
