For a short visit to Kharghar, start with ISKCON and Central Park, checking the temple schedule and park access before travelling. Kharghar Hills and Pandavkada Falls are excluded from the suggested itinerary because current visitor access is not confirmed.
Below, each place is described using what its operator or authority publishes, with a note on what to check before you go. It also separates what is near Kharghar from what is in it.

ISKCON Kharghar
The temple’s own website gives the address as Hare Krishna Land, Sector 23, Central Park, opposite the golf course, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai 410210. It calls the temple ISKCON Kharghar (ISKCON Navi Mumbai) and names Sri Sri Radha Madanmohanji among its deities. Check directly with the temple which facilities beyond the main temple and restaurant are currently available to visitors. The temple’s site lists +91 9337611446 for temple information.
The temple’s timings page has the full daily schedule. In short, it is open from 4:15 am to 1 pm and again from 4 pm to 9 pm, and closed in between. A selection of aarti times:
| Time | Programme |
|---|---|
| 4:15 am | Temple opens |
| 4:30 am | Mangal Aarati |
| 12:30 pm | Rajbhog Aarati |
| 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm | Temple closed |
| 4:15 pm | Uttapana Aarati |
| 7:00 pm | Sandhya Aarati |
| 9:00 pm | Temple closes |
The temple says visitors of all faiths are welcome. Its pages do not set out a dress code or rules on photography and phones, so follow the signs and the staff at the entrance. Modest clothing is a safe thing to carry.
Getting to the temple and eating there
From Kharghar railway station, plan an onward journey to ISKCON’s address in Sector 23. Check the exact destination and current route before choosing a bus, auto or walking route. For bus options, see the NMMT bus routes guide and check current routes. Confirm the fare arrangement before travelling, and check parking availability with the temple if arriving by car.
Govinda’s is the temple’s vegetarian restaurant. Its page gives three windows: breakfast from 7:30 am to 10:30 am, lunch from 12:30 pm to 3 pm and dinner from 7:30 pm to 10 pm. Lunch runs into the temple’s afternoon closure and dinner runs past its 9 pm closing, so confirm with the restaurant how it is reached at those hours. The restaurant number on the temple’s site is +91 9136868693.
Festival days at the temple
Festival days can have different darshan hours, queues, parking arrangements and traffic restrictions. Check the temple’s current event announcement and any police traffic advisory for your visit date. The temple’s events calendar lists its festivals. For other places of worship, see the temples, churches and mosques guide.
Central Park
Central Park is CIDCO’s large park in the middle of Kharghar. CIDCO’s own Central Park page (in Marathi) says the first phase was developed in Sector 23 and the second in Sectors 24 and 25. It names an amphitheatre and records opening events in January 2010: a festival opening on 23 January and a formal inauguration on 25 January.
CIDCO’s page for the park does not give opening hours or entry charges, so confirm both at the gate. It describes the project across Sectors 23 to 25 but does not say which sections are open to visitors today, so check access before you travel. CIDCO’s contact page lists its head office number. The parks and gardens guide covers what to check about gates, toilets and closed sections.
Kharghar Hills and Pandavkada Falls: access not confirmed
Reports describe seasonal hill-entry restrictions and a police order covering named locations during the 2026 monsoon. Free Press Journal reported on 2 August 2026 that CIDCO bars public entry to the hill from 15 June to 15 September each year. Free Press Journal (updated 5 July 2026) reported a police order dated 25 June 2026 that prohibits entry at seven places, including Pandavkada Waterfall, Chafewadi, Phanaswadi and the driving range in Sector 5.
Which restrictions remain in force on your visit date is not confirmed. Check current directions with the responsible authorities and obey on-site restrictions. These locations are excluded from the suggested itinerary pending confirmation of visitor access. Reports are dated, and a repaired road or an organised event does not establish general visitor access.
The Navi Mumbai Police contact page is the place to start, and in an emergency you can call 112. Do not follow a path just because it is visible, and do not join an unofficial group on the strength of a social media post. For walks elsewhere, see the monsoon treks near Mumbai guide, which needs its own access check for each trek.
Pandavkada Falls is a seasonal waterfall in Kharghar and is named in the police order. It is an access warning here and not a recommended stop. The Pandavkada Falls guide sets out the reported restrictions and who to ask.
Kharghar Valley Golf Course
The course is a golf venue, not a walking park. Golf Course Architecture reported on 13 April 2026 that it reopened as an 18-hole layout, with CIDCO leading the expansion. For booking, CIDCO’s reservation and contact page lists a booking contact for the Kharghar Golf Course. Confirm fees, hours and any access restriction for your date when you book.
Near Kharghar, but not in it
- Wonders Park is in Nerul. Jewel of Navi Mumbai is in the Nerul and Seawoods area, and Mini Seashore is in Vashi. The parks and gardens guide covers all three.
- Karnala Bird Sanctuary is a separate day trip with its own entry rules. See the Karnala guide.

How to reach Kharghar
Kharghar is served by Harbour line suburban trains and Thane to Panvel Trans-Harbour services, both run by Central Railway. Check the train’s destination and stopping pattern before boarding. Wikipedia’s station page places the station between CBD Belapur and Mansarovar, and the Harbour line and Trans-Harbour line pages list it. Central Railway publishes a Trans-Harbour timetable. Check its effective date, since the file does not show one, and look for service notices for your travel date. The Mumbai local train guide explains the lines.
Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1 runs from CBD Belapur to Pendhar and opened on 17 November 2023, per Wikipedia. Its station list includes one named Central Park, but a station name alone does not show a walking route to every park or temple entrance. Choose the station for the entrance you actually need, using a map and the operator’s station information, then check the walking route before you leave. Do not assume a train and the Metro share a fare or a timetable. Check each separately and allow time for the change. See the Navi Mumbai Metro route map for stations.
Plan a half day in Kharghar
- Morning: confirm park access before you leave home. Visit the accessible section of Central Park if it is open. Reach the temple before its afternoon closure at 1 pm, ideally for the 12:30 pm Rajbhog Aarati. Confirm separately how to reach Govinda’s for lunch, which its page gives as 12:30 pm to 3 pm.
- Evening: choose either an afternoon temple visit (the temple reopens at 4 pm, with Uttapana Aarati at 4:15 pm) or the 7 pm Sandhya Aarati. Add a meal stop, such as Govinda’s from 7:30 pm to 10 pm, or browse the restaurants guide and the cafes guide. Include the park only if its closing time permits.
- Golf: a separately booked activity, not part of a walk-in plan.
- Hills and waterfall: excluded until visitor access is confirmed.
Before you set out, check these:
- Return transport at the time you plan to leave.
- Weather on the day.
- The gate closing time for the park.
- Any mobility or toilet requirements, which are best confirmed with the temple or CIDCO directly.
