Quick answer: CIDCO’s reported 15% water cut took effect on 2 November 2026. The weekly shutdown day depends on your area: New Panvel East is listed for Monday and New Panvel West for Tuesday. Selected sectors and villages in Ulwe and Dronagiri have alternate day supply instead. Check your area below. The reports do not specify a common start or restoration time.

Ulwe and Dronagiri: reported lists
These are reported lists, not a CIDCO notice. Published lists differ, so check your own sector with CIDCO. An omission from one list does not mean a sector is unaffected.
Ulwe: Tuesday shutdown
- Reported Tuesday sectors: 2, 3, 5, 6, 19, 20, 23, 24 and 25A, with the villages Gavhan, Kopar and Morave.
- Reports differ on sectors 21, 22 and 25. Different outlets list different combinations, so check these with CIDCO.
Alternate day supply in listed sectors and villages
- Ulwe: sectors 8, 9, 10B, 15C, 16, 17 and 18, plus Shelghar, Bamandongari, Nhava, Shivajinagar and Nhava Khadi.
- Dronagiri: sectors 1, 2, 11, 12, 15, 30, 47, 48 and 50 to 55, plus Dhutum, Bhendkhal, Pagote, Funde, Navghar, Navghar Pada, Bokadvira and Kunde.
The reports do not say which days or hours alternate day supply arrives, so do not assume a morning or evening window. Nodes not named in the reports, such as Khanda Colony, Pushpak Nagar, Pendhar and Padghe, are not listed here. Ask CIDCO whether your area is covered.
Sector missing or supply not restored?
- To check CIDCO announcements, see CIDCO’s official website and its official social media profile.
- To report low supply or a missed supply day, use the grievance channel on CIDCO’s website. No dedicated number for this November cut has been published, and phone numbers from older coverage were for earlier problems, so do not treat them as a current helpline.
- Keep a note of the date, time and your sector when you log a complaint.
Why the cut and how long it lasts
- CIDCO said the cut follows a Maharashtra government resolution of 5 October 2026 on planned water management (see the Free Press Journal report).
- The cut applies until further notice. The resolution’s planning horizon of 31 August 2027 is not stated as the end date of this cut.
- Reports attribute figures of about 311 million litres a day of supply against about 361 million litres a day of need to CIDCO’s water supply department. The 50 million litre gap and the 15% cut are different measures, so do not use them to calculate a household’s reduction.
CIDCO areas and NMMC areas
- This CIDCO weekly timetable applies to the nodes CIDCO supplies directly. It does not apply in Vashi, Nerul, Belapur and Airoli, where Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) supplies water. Check NMMC notices for separate interruptions.
- NMMC has said it will cut daily extraction from 480 to 400 million litres a day and that drinking water will not be curtailed (see the Free Press Journal report).
- NMMC’s 10 hour maintenance shutdown on 3 November was a one off on the Morbe line that also affected Kharghar and Kamothe (see the Free Press Journal report). It has ended.
- The reports do not describe the position for Panvel Municipal Corporation areas, so check with the corporation.
What CIDCO has asked residents to do
- Store water before your shutdown day.
- Housing societies should monitor overhead tanks so they do not overflow.
- Fix leaks quickly and do not leave taps running.
- Reports say penal action is warned for using drinking water for non essential purposes such as washing vehicles or filling swimming pools.
For housing societies
- Ask your committee for the exact shutdown hours and the refill time.
- Plan tank levels and pump schedules around your node’s day.
- Agree who orders tankers if you need them, and keep the supplier’s details and rates to hand.
- Residents in Kharghar and Taloja have reported low pressure. Keep dated records for your node office.
