Diwali Shopping in Navi Mumbai: Malls, Markets and Tips

City Guide & Travel

Illustration, not a photograph.

Plan your Diwali shopping in Navi Mumbai around what you need to buy, the location and the shop’s confirmed festival hours. This guide compares Inorbit Mall Vashi, Nexus Seawoods and APMC’s wholesale markets, with transport pointers and checks before you travel. The Maharashtra holiday dates below are calendar information, not confirmed shop-opening schedules.

Quick answer: for clothing, beauty and jewellery brands, start with Inorbit Mall Vashi or Nexus Seawoods. For dry fruits, spices, sugar and jaggery, APMC’s spice market in Vashi trades them, but it is a wholesale market, so ask the market office and the trader about household purchases first. Confirm festival hours, stock and offer terms with the mall or the shop before you travel.

Where to shop in Navi Mumbai for Diwali

Destination Shopping purpose supported by sources Location and access What still needs confirmation
Inorbit Mall Vashi Inorbit’s Vashi page describes over 150 brands and names Shoppers Stop, Westside, Zudio, Nykaa and Tanishq, which covers clothing, beauty and jewellery. Sector 30A, Vashi, close to Vashi railway station. See the Inorbit Mall Vashi guide. Your branch of a brand, stock, festival hours and offer terms.
Nexus Seawoods Nexus Select Trust’s page describes over 280 domestic and international brands, so it suits multi-brand shopping. Sector 40, Nerul, beside Seawoods Darave railway station. See the Seawoods Grand Central guide. The stores you want, stock and festival hours.
APMC spice market APMC’s spice market page says spices, sugar, jaggery and dry fruits are traded there. APMC Masala Market, Sector 19, Vashi, Navi Mumbai 400703, as printed on APMC’s page. Published contact: 022-27666510, extension 5142. See the APMC market guide. Whether household buyers may enter, the minimum quantity, trader hours and holiday operation. Ask the market office and the trader.

The brand counts are the operators’ own descriptions. They do not show that every brand has festival stock, so check the store you want.

What to confirm before you buy

  • The items you need and the quantity of each.
  • That the store or trader has the item in stock.
  • The final price, including packaging and delivery charges.
  • The minimum purchase quantity, if you are buying from a wholesaler.
  • The collection or delivery date, which matters most for gifts you need by a fixed day.
  • Exchange terms, including exclusions for sale items and personalised purchases.
  • The invoice and the payment confirmation, kept safe until the festival is over.

Compare the same item and quantity across two quotations before you decide. Do not assume a wholesale quotation is lower than a shop price.

Getting there

  • Inorbit Mall Vashi: take a Harbour line train to Vashi. Inorbit is close to the station. The Vashi railway station guide covers the station.
  • Nexus Seawoods: take a Harbour line train to Seawoods Darave, code SWDV on Central Railway’s station list. Nexus Select Trust’s summary valuation report describes direct access from the station to the mall. The Seawoods Grand Central guide has the details. Check that your train stops at Seawoods Darave.
  • APMC spice market: search your map app for APMC Masala Market, Sector 19, Vashi. It is a trading yard with its own gates, not part of the malls’ station-side access. The APMC market guide lists the markets and the head office at Sector 18, Vashi.
  • By Metro: Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1 runs from CBD Belapur to Pendhar and does not serve Vashi or Seawoods. CBD Belapur is the Metro terminus and the point where you change to a suburban train. Treat the Metro and the train as separate legs, follow the interchange signs and confirm your ticket. The CBD Belapur railway station guide and the Navi Mumbai Metro guide cover this. From CBD Belapur, take a Harbour line train towards Vashi for Inorbit, or one that stops at Seawoods Darave for Nexus Seawoods, and check the destination and stops on the train.
  • By bus, auto or taxi, or by car: use the NMMT bus guide for routes and the auto-rickshaw and taxi fares guide for fares. Read the parking tariff at the mall entrance and keep your ticket.

Confirm opening hours before choosing an early visit. Allow extra time during the festival period and check your return transport before you start shopping. The local train guide covers tickets and timetables.

Diwali 2026 holiday dates in Maharashtra

The General Administration Department’s Public Holidays, 2026 notification is dated 5 December 2025 and was published in the Gazette on 8 December 2025. A copy is also posted on the Divisional Commissioner, Nagpur page.

Banks: RBI’s holiday page lists 10 November 2026 (Diwali, Bali Pratipada) for its Belapur and Mumbai offices. To see it, choose the regional office (Belapur or Mumbai), the month November and the year 2026, then press GO. This is a regional-office view, not a complete list of bank closures, so check your own branch.
