Airoli railway station is on the Trans-Harbour line of Central Railway, the line that runs from Thane into Navi Mumbai. Central Railway’s station list gives its code as AIRL. Digha Gaon is the station before it towards Thane, and Rabale is the next one towards Vashi, Nerul and Panvel. For the area around the station, see the Airoli area guide.
Quick answer: For Thane, board a Thane-bound Trans-Harbour train. For Vashi, Nerul or Panvel, board a Trans-Harbour train towards that station, and check the destination on the indicator board, because trains split after Turbhe and not every train goes as far as Panvel. Every train in Central Railway’s Trans-Harbour timetable is timed at Airoli. The Harbour line and Port Line serve other stations.

Where to go from Airoli
This table starts from your destination and tells you which train to look for. It follows the stopping pattern in the Trans-Harbour timetable.
| Your destination | What to select and check |
|---|---|
| Thane or Digha Gaon | Take a Thane-bound Trans-Harbour train. Digha Gaon is the next station towards Thane, and every train in the timetable that runs towards Thane stops there. |
| Rabale, Ghansoli, Koparkhairane or Turbhe | Take any train towards Vashi, Nerul or Panvel. All of them stop at these four stations. |
| Sanpada or Vashi | Take a train towards Vashi. Only Thane to Vashi trains (code TV) call at Sanpada and Vashi, so a train towards Nerul or Panvel will not take you there. |
| Juinagar or Nerul | Take a train towards Nerul or towards Panvel. Thane to Nerul (TNU) and Thane to Panvel (TPL) trains call at both. A train towards Vashi does not. |
| Seawoods Darave Karave, Belapur CBD, Kharghar, Mansarovar, Khandeshwar or Panvel | Take a train towards Panvel. Only Thane to Panvel (TPL) trains call at these stations. A train that ends at Nerul or Vashi stops short of them. |
| Uran | The Port Line timetable shows trains starting from Nerul and from Belapur. Travel to Nerul or Belapur first, then check the Port Line timetable for the next train to Uran. See the Nerul railway station guide for Nerul. |
| Mumbai CSMT or Goregaon | For CSMT or Goregaon, use a suitable Trans-Harbour service to a Harbour interchange such as Vashi or Juinagar, then check the onward train’s destination and stopping pattern. A direct Airoli to CSMT or Airoli to Goregaon service is not established by the linked timetable. The Mumbai local train guide explains the lines. |
| Beyond Thane, on the Central line | Every Trans-Harbour train in the timetable starts or ends at Thane, so plan the change there. |
For the stations down the line, see the Vashi railway station guide, the Belapur railway station guide, the Kharghar railway station guide and the Panvel railway station guide.
Train services at Airoli
Trans-Harbour trains
Central Railway’s Mumbai Suburban timetable page links the Trans-Harbour public time table for Thane to Vashi and Panvel. It lists the stations from Thane in this order: Thane, Digha Gaon, Airoli, Rabale, Ghansoli, Koparkhairane and Turbhe. After Turbhe the line splits. One branch goes through Sanpada to Vashi. The other goes through Juinagar and Nerul, and some trains carry on through Seawoods Darave Karave, Belapur CBD, Kharghar, Mansarovar and Khandeshwar to Panvel.
The timetable lists 131 services in each direction, including services with operating-day restrictions. Each one carries a scheduled time for Airoli. Towards Vashi, Nerul and Panvel the scheduled Airoli times run from 05:20 to 23:53, and one service is scheduled at 00:13. Towards Thane they run from 05:17 to 23:46, and one service is scheduled at 00:02. These are scheduled times from the linked timetable. Check current railway notices and station indicators for cancellations, blocks and platform changes.
These are the overall scheduled service limits at Airoli, not the first and last train for each destination. Check the specific Vashi, Nerul or Panvel service before planning an early or late journey. The 00:13 and 00:02 times fall after midnight, so check the relevant travel date.
Central Railway shows 13 January 2024 as the effective date of this timetable, which is older than the Harbour line edition effective 1 May 2026, so confirm that the pattern still holds with Central Railway or NTES before a long trip.
Reading the timetable
The timetable names each train with a code from the abbreviations sheet: TV is a Thane to Vashi local, TNU is a Thane to Nerul local and TPL is a Thane to Panvel local. A train marked X does not run on Sundays and holidays, and a dollar sign marks three ladies coaches at the Thane end. The Mumbai local train guide covers ladies compartments and special trains.
Harbour line and Port Line
The Harbour line and Port Line timetables cover stations from CSMT and Goregaon to Panvel and from Nerul or Belapur to Uran. Use the Trans-Harbour timetable for trains from Airoli, and use the other two when you change at a station they share, such as Vashi, Juinagar or Nerul.
Metro
Airoli is not on Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1, which runs from Belapur to Pendhar, according to CIDCO’s 2026-27 budget statement. The Navi Mumbai Metro route map guide lists the stations that operate today. For Navi Mumbai International Airport, see the guide to reaching the airport.
Tickets, platforms and accessibility
Tickets
RailOne provides railway ticketing and enquiry services, as Indian Railways’ press release of 18 March 2026 describes. Check whether your selected service appears, and use station indicators and official notices for the latest information. Before you buy, run through this list.
- Is the origin Airoli and the destination correct, and is the direction right?
- Is the class right, and is it an AC service if you want one?
- Do you need a single, a return or a season ticket?
- Is the ticket valid for the train and time you plan to board? Confirm before boarding.
- A platform ticket does not permit travel.
Finding your platform
Platform numbers vary by train. Read the indicator boards, listen for announcements, and check the destination shown before you cross to a platform. If two trains are close together, one may be going towards Thane and the other towards Vashi, Nerul or Panvel.
Accessibility checklist
Central Railway’s Divyangjan facilities page describes ramps at station building entrances, low height ticket counters and wheelchairs at stations in general. Before you travel, establish what applies at Airoli.
- Step-free entry from the road to the booking area and to your platform
- Whether a lift is working and which platforms it serves
- Wheelchair assistance: who to ask and how much notice staff need
- An accessible toilet and where it is
Bus, auto and parking
By bus
The NMMT bus routes guide covers NMMT routes, timings and fares. NMMT’s own portal has route tracking, search by stop and timetable pages, so confirm the route number, stop and fare there before you leave. Note the stop name you need at both ends, and check which side of the station the bus stops on if you are changing between train and bus.
By auto and taxi
Confirm the destination and applicable fare basis before starting. For a metered service, check that the meter is used. For an app booking, review the quoted fare and extras. Give the sector and plot number, since Airoli addresses run on both. The auto rickshaw and taxi fares guide explains the Transport Department’s tariff cards. For the Airoli bridge toll towards Mumbai, see the toll plazas guide.
Parking
Confirm the parking operator, displayed tariff, permitted duration and any overnight restrictions before leaving your vehicle.
