Turbhe is an area on the Thane Belapur Road side of Navi Mumbai. People know it for its station on the Trans-Harbour line, the APMC wholesale markets and the MIDC industrial belt. It is not one of the 13 entries on CIDCO’s nodal-plan index, and NMMC has a ward office named Turbhe. This guide covers who looks after what, which trains stop here, how the markets and industrial belt fit in, and what to check in daily life. For the wider city, see what is Navi Mumbai and the areas in Navi Mumbai guide.
Quick answer: NMMC’s ward-offices page lists a D ward office named Turbhe. Central Railway’s Trans-Harbour timetable lists Turbhe (TUH) right after Koparkhairane, and its Harbour line timetables do not list Turbhe. MIDC’s portal covers the industrial belt as the TTC Industrial Area, and APMC’s vegetable and fruit pages print Turbhe addresses. The current property-tax bill identifies the billing authority. Water supply, building permissions, CIDCO lease matters and revenue records may require separate checks.

Who runs what in Turbhe
NMMC is the civic body. CIDCO’s nodal-plan index (in Marathi) lists 13 nodes, from Airoli, Ghansoli, Koparkhairane, Vashi, Sanpada, Nerul and CBD Belapur to six southern nodes, and Turbhe is not among them. CIDCO’s development plan page names its towns in running text and does not name Turbhe either. Turbhe does appear on CIDCO’s Vashi node plan, which marks Turbhe Rly Stn and the Turbhe-Sanpada railway line along its eastern edge. The plan’s notes say layouts are indicative and not a legal document.
NMMC’s ward-offices page (in Marathi) lists eight offices. D is Turbhe. A ward name is an administrative label, and the page does not say which sectors or streets each ward covers, so ask NMMC which office serves your address.
| Office | Address as listed by NMMC | Contact as listed |
|---|---|---|
| D ward office, Turbhe | Annabhau Sathe Bhavan, Sector 10, Sanpada, Navi Mumbai 400705 | amc_turbhe_ward@nmmc.gov.in, 8976954883 |
Source: NMMC ward offices page, checked on 9 October 2026. The office carries the Turbhe name but its address is in Sanpada, so do not use that address to place Turbhe on a map. NMMC’s page header lists helplines +91 8291920504, 1800 222 309 and 1800 222 310.
The district is Thane. NMMC’s history page says the corporation began with 45 villages that had been under gram panchayats of the Thane Zilla Parishad, and Thane district’s own website lists Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation on its page of municipal corporations. Use the district printed on your own documents for deeds, land records and court filings.
The current property-tax bill identifies the billing authority. Water supply, building permissions, CIDCO lease matters and revenue records may require separate checks.

How to get to Turbhe
By train
Turbhe is a station on Central Railway’s Trans-Harbour line. Central Railway’s station list includes Turbhe with the code TUH. The Mumbai Suburban timetable page links a Trans-Harbour public time table for Thane to Vashi and Panvel, marked effective 13 January 2024, so check that page for a newer edition. The file lists stations by code in this order: TNA, DIGH, AIRL, RABE, GNSL, KPHN, TUH. The station list names them Thane, Digha Gaon, Airoli, Rabale, Ghansoli, Koparkhairane and Turbhe. Every train in that file shows a time at TUH, in both directions.
After Turbhe the trains in the file split into two groups. Some show times at SNPD and VSH next, which are Sanpada and Vashi. Others show Juinagar and Nerul, and some run on through Seawoods Darave, Belapur CBD, Kharghar, Mansarovar and Khandeshwar to Panvel. Check your train’s destination before boarding.
Turbhe does not appear in the Harbour line timetables. Central Railway’s tables for CSMT to Goregaon to Panvel, down and up (effective 1 May 2026), and its Harbour line AC timetable list no Turbhe. They do list Vashi, Sanpada, Juinagar, Nerul and the stations beyond, which are the stations the two timetables share. See the Mumbai local train guide for live updates.
| Starting point | What to check |
|---|---|
| From Thane | Thane (TNA) is the first station in the Trans-Harbour file. Find your train there and read its time against TUH. |
| From Mumbai on the Harbour line | Vashi and Sanpada appear in both timetables. In the Trans-Harbour file, trains between Vashi and Thane list Sanpada and then Turbhe, so look at those pages for a train towards Thane and confirm the change for your own journey. |
| From Nerul, Belapur or Panvel | Use the Trans-Harbour pages for trains towards Thane, not the Harbour line towards CSMT. Read the train’s time against TUH. |
| To a market or industrial address | The timetables give no station exits or distances. Ask the market office or the employer for the right gate, and test the last leg at the hour you will travel. |
By metro
Turbhe is not served by Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1. CIDCO’s 2026-27 budget statement describes Line 1 as running from Belapur to Pendhar with 11 stations. The 11 stations reported at opening run from Belapur Terminal to Pendhar, and none is Turbhe. Extensions are proposals, so check CIDCO before relying on any alignment. The Navi Mumbai Metro route map guide keeps operating lines and proposals apart.
By road and bus
APMC’s vegetable and fruit pages and the MIDC portal all place the area on Thane Belapur Road. MIDC’s page says the TTC Industrial Area sits next to National Highway No. 4 on that road. Documents number highways differently, so follow route names and current signs. The MIDC page also says State Transport and Navi Mumbai, Thane and Kalyan Dombivali municipal transport serve the belt. Confirm routes and stops with the operator; see the NMMT bus routes guide.
CIDCO’s 2026-27 budget statement also describes the Kharghar-Turbhe Tunnel Road, which starts from the Sion-Panvel Express Highway opposite Juinagar Railway Station and ends near Central Park in Kharghar. It gives a proposed lane configuration, so treat it as a project and ask CIDCO for its status. For the sea crossing to Mumbai, see the Atal Setu toll guide and the toll plazas guide. For the airport, see the how to reach the airport guide.
The APMC markets
The wholesale markets are run by the Mumbai Agricultural Produce Market Committee (Market of National Importance). APMC’s About page calls it a statutory market committee constituted by the State Government. Its vegetable market page (Dharamveer Sambhaji Raje Vegetable Sankul) and fruit market page print Turbhe addresses: Sector 19, Turbhe, Thane-Belapur Road, Navi Mumbai 400703, with enquiry numbers 022-27846507 for vegetables and 022-27841378 for fruit. Its grain and spice pages print Vashi addresses, and its onion and potato page prints only the head office in Sector 18, Vashi. APMC’s daily price page files onion, potato and garlic reports under a tab called Turbhe Market. Turbhe and Vashi both appear in APMC’s own documents, so use the exact market name in a map app. CIDCO’s Vashi plan carries market labels such as Additional Area for Fruit & Vegetable Market alongside Turbhe Rly Stn.
These are trading yards for licensed businesses, not shopping streets. APMC’s About page says the committee is empowered to regulate the entry of persons and vehicles. The market pages print no visitor or household-buyer rule, so call the market office before you go, or APMC’s head office on 022-27888414 or 022-27881400 (the numbers on its contact page). The APMC market guide sets out all five markets, published timings and buying checks.
The MIDC industrial belt
MIDC’s industrial area details portal is where the belt is described. Choose Mahape as the regional office and TTC INDL. AREA as the industrial area. The portal says the area was developed in 1965 and hosts engineering, chemical, pharmaceutical, petroleum, electronics and IT units. Turbhe is named in two places there. MIDC says it allotted land to MTNL for telephone exchanges at Turbhe, Rabale and Mahape, and it lists two police stations in the area, Rabale and Turbhe.
On services, the portal says MIDC supplies water to industries from its own Barvi Dam, and that the roads, storm water drains and streetlights, except the water supply and drainage collection system, were handed over to NMMC in 2004 (its Infrastructure tab excepts the Shil-Mahape road). Its regional office is listed as Plot No. AM-20, behind Lokmat Building, TTC Indl. Area, Mahape 400710, phone 022 27782893, email romahape@midcindia.org. If a plot, shed, lease or utility connection matters to you, ask MIDC or NMMC which of them handles your exact address. For a job in the belt, ask the employer for the gate, shift timings and route from the station. The IT companies and tech parks guide covers the wider corridor.
Everyday errands and your postal address
| Errand | What to check |
|---|---|
| Groceries and household buying | APMC’s markets are wholesale yards. Ask the market office before planning a household purchase. |
| Clinic and school | Time each trip from your building. The city guides to schools and hospitals cover Navi Mumbai as a whole, so check that a listing sits in Turbhe. |
| Postal address | The PIN note below. NMMC services are in the NMMC online services guide. |
For the PIN, the Department of Posts’ All India Pincode Directory (an undated extract on data.gov.in) lists Turbhe S.O and Turbhe Market S.O under 400703, and its delivery column marks both Non-Delivery. It lists Vashi S.O under 400703 and Sanpada S.O under 400705, both marked Delivery. NMMC prints 400705 on the D ward office address. The same extract lists an unrelated Turbhe Khurd B.O in Poladpur taluka of Raigad, under 402303. The PIN on an address follows its delivery post office. Confirm with India Post, and copy the PIN from your own papers. The PIN code guide covers the wider list.
